摘要: Embodiments of the invention provide a device and method of action for a device that abuts the outside of infusion or effusion tubing and uses thermal mass-flow techniques to determine if fluid is flowing or stopped within the tubing. The device includes a housing which carries a heater and temperature sensor arranged such that, when the housing is coupled to the tubing, the heater and temperature sensor are at opposite sides of the tubing wall, in facing relationship. They are for example approximately diametrically opposed, permitting the device to contact the tubing at only one point and so be very compact.

摘要: An integrated cartridge assembly that is employed with an automated medication administration system in response to the acute medical condition. The cartridge assembly configured to be operatively coupled between a pump assembly and a medical port. The cartridge assembly includes a first cartridge and a second cartridge positioned within a housing. The first cartridge contains a portion of saline, while the second cartridge contains a portion of a medicament. The cartridge assembly also includes a gate member that maintains a separation distance between a manifold assembly and the first and second cartridges when in a locked position when the cartridge assembly is in the stored state. The cartridge assembly is operatively coupled to the medical port via a tube set that is fixedly coupled to the manifold assembly.

摘要: A roller clamp control mechanism which adapts to the roller clamp to control the position of the roller clamp and adjust the fluid flow rate in a connector tube of an infusion set is provided. The mechanism may include a roller clamp, a roller wheel, a control unit, rotating bearings, a body fixture, and a linear drive to control the position of the roller wheel on the connector tube. Different assemblies for the roller clamp control mechanism are shown and described, all of which allow for changing the clamping pressure on the connector tube using a control unit. Infusion sets and methods of adjusting fluid flow rates are also provided.

The fill stations may be opened and closed to accept a reservoir and to allow fluid to be introduced into the reservoir for use with personal pump systems. The fill stations may hold the reservoir at a tilt relative to an underlying surface and may discourage overfilling of the reservoir. The filling stations may also include viewing windows having fluid lines marked thereon for indicating volume of fluid within the reservoir.

摘要: The invention provides an infusion set for effortless flow adjustment. The infusion set includes an installation base, a driving mechanism, and a connecting mechanism. The installation base has a cavity, and the driving mechanism and connecting mechanism are respectively installed on the installation base. The connecting beams are adeptly attached to the installation base through holes, while the connecting ring is affixed to these beams. Encasing the connecting beams, the first spring connects the installation base's cavity wall to the connecting ring, providing resilient support. The installation shaft, mounted on the movable base, hosts the pressure plate, facilitating pivotal movement. Simultaneously, the driving shaft, rotatably installed at the installation base's shaft hole, interfaces with the driving mechanism. The two ends of the second spring are respectively connected to the movable base and the pressure plate, and the driving shaft, integrated with the driving mechanism, governs the infusion set's operation.
