摘要: The system and method provide for electrocardiogram analysis and optimization of patient-customized cardiopulmonary resuscitation and therapy delivery. An external medical device includes a housing and a processor within the housing. The processor can be configured to receive an input signal for a patient receiving chest compressions and to select at least one filter mechanism and to apply the filter mechanism to the signal to at least substantially remove chest compression artifacts from the signal. A real time dynamic analysis of a cardiac rhythm is applied to adjust and integrate CPR prompting of a medical device. Real-time cardiac rhythm quality is facilitated using a rhythm assessment meter.

摘要: A portable medical device having improved ECG trace display and reporting. Embodiments implement features to ameliorate artifacts created by virtue of attempting to eliminate compression artifacts due to mechanical compression devices. Other embodiments additionally implement features to seek to detect the occurrence of ROSC while chest compressions are ongoing.

摘要: The present invention helps in enabling cardiac recovery in patients with heart failure and for facilitating cardiac muscle regeneration by long term augmentation of the coronary perfusion pressure and thereby the coronary blood flow by using an implantable, preferably self-contained electrically operated pump which takes the oxygen rich blood from one of the chambers of the heart or a large blood vessel, that include the aorta, the subclavian artery, left atrium, one or more pulmonary veins, etc and pumps it into a singular or multitude of coronary arteries through a natural (autologous, homologous or heterologous) or synthetic ‘conduit’, a medium to long term inotropic support to the heart, through a dedicated channel to deliver inotropic and other medicines and stem cells directly into the coronary circulation, where one end of the channel typically ends outside the body and the other end rests inside the lumen of the ‘conduit’ which supplies the oxygenated blood into the coronary arteries; a central processing unit (CPU) with an integrated defibrillator to monitor and control pump speed and flow rates; an implantable power source for the pump which can be charged transcutaneously using an external wireless system (‘TET’: transcutaneous energy transfer systems), to power the pump and the CPU.

摘要: A method for a wearable cardioverter defibrillator (WCD) system comprises sensing one or more patient parameters from different parts of a body of the patient by the one or more transducers, obtaining a plurality of physiological inputs from the sensed one or more patient parameters, detecting first aspects from each of at least some of the physiological inputs, generating an aggregated first aspect from at least two of the detected first aspects, determining an aggregate analysis score from the aggregated first aspect, and determining whether the aggregate analysis score meets an aggregate shock criterion. The electrical charge is discharged within six minutes from when it is determined that the aggregate shock criterion is met, otherwise the electrical charge is not discharged for at least 19 minutes from when it is determined that the aggregate shock criterion is not met.

摘要: In one embodiment, a wearable cardioverter defibrillator (WCD) is described. The WCD includes a support structure that may be worn by a patient. A processor is coupled to the support structure. The wearable cardioverter defibrillator also includes a discharge circuit configured to discharge a stored electrical charge through a body of the patient, the discharge circuit in communication with the processor. The processor may be configured to detect an event occurring at the WCD and determine a severity of the event occurring at the WCD. The processor may activate a multi-sensory alarm based at least in part on the determined event severity.

摘要: Brugada syndrome and related forms of ion channelopathies, including ventricular asynchrony of contraction, originate in the region near the His bundle or para-Hisian regions of the heart. Manifestations of Brugada syndrome can be corrected by delivering endocardial electrical stimulation coincident to the activation wave front propagated from the atrioventricular (AV) node early enough to compensate for the conduction problems that start in those regions. The stimulation can be delivered in multiple modes and can include waveforms of the same polarity delivered to a site within the region near the His bundle or para-Hisian regions of the heart associated with a low cardiac electrical asynchrony level or can include at least two single-phased superimposed waveforms of opposite polarity delivered through a pair of pacing electrodes relative to a reference electrode, which can be delivered to any site within the region near the His bundle or para-Hisian regions.
