Abstract: Described is an approach for tracking 3D organ motion in real-time using magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). The approach may include offline learning, which may acquire signature and 3D imaging data over multiple respiratory cycles to create a database of high-resolution 3D motion states. The approach may further include online matching, which may acquire signature data only in real-time (latency less than 0.2 seconds). From a motion state and motion signature database, the 3D motion state whose signature best (or sufficiently) matches the newly-acquired signature data may be selected. Real-time 3D motion tracking may be accomplished by performing time-consuming acquisition and reconstruction work in an offline learning phase, leaving just signature acquisition and correlation analysis in an online matching step, minimizing or otherwise reducing latency. The approach may be used to adapt radiotherapy procedures based on tumor motion using a magnetic resonance linear accelerator (MR-Linac) system.

Abstract: Provided is a method for generating an arc treatment plan. The method for generating the arc treatment plan includes: generating a plurality of sub-regions by partitioning a region of interest based on an irradiation duration corresponding to the region of interest in a target volume; and generating the arc treatment plan for the target volume based on the plurality of sub-regions and irradiation durations corresponding to the plurality of sub-regions; wherein the irradiation durations corresponding to the plurality of sub-regions are all less than or equal to a predetermined value, a sum of the irradiation durations corresponding to the plurality of sub-regions is equal to an irradiation duration corresponding to the region of interest, and irradiation positions corresponding to the plurality of sub-regions are the same as an irradiation position corresponding to the region of interest.

A processor is configured to control the contact point to adjust the shape of the insert, generate a treatment for the vaginal cavity and the surrounding structures of the vaginal cavity and the supportive structures of the vaginal cavity comprising a vaginal cavity profile generated from the measured characteristics, store the measured characteristics and the vaginal cavity profile, and based on the stored measured characteristics and the stored vaginal cavity profile, automatically modify the shape of the insert by control of the contact point to provide the treatment to the vaginal cavity.
