    摘要: A combination face mask and air filter includes a face mask; an air filter including a centrifugal fan, a circuit board, a filter element, a power supply, a housing for enclosing the centrifugal fan, the circuit board, the filter element, and the power supply, a cover releasably secured to the housing, and a UV lamp; a tube having a first end attached to the face mask; and a strap having two ends attached to the housing. The centrifugal fan includes an inlet and an outlet. The UV lamp is disposed at the outlet of the centrifugal fan. A second end of the tube passes through the housing to communicate with the outlet of the centrifugal fan.

    摘要: This invention relates to a process and apparatus to preclude unfiltered atmospheric gases and the products of human respiration including carbon-dioxide (CO2) with carbon-14 (14C) from contaminating greenhouse atmospheric gases which has utility in growing agricultural products with a reduced abundance of 14C. Agricultural products with reduced 14C content can be grown in greenhouses with filtered atmospheric gases for the benefit of reducing harmful damage to human DNA. Agricultural production in greenhouses still requires humans to plant, maintain, and harvest crops in many cases. This invention provides a means for humans to access, work, and operate in these controlled environments without contaminating the atmospheric gases and agricultural products therein with respiration products and unfiltered atmospheric gases containing radioactive 14C.

    摘要: A firefighting or rescue apparatus includes a cab and a body having a storage unit configured to store a self-contained breathing apparatus, contaminated by harmful chemicals at an emergency scene, in the body rather than in the cab where occupants ride, so the occupants are not exposed to the harmful chemicals, which might be hazardous, toxic, carcinogenic or otherwise deleterious to health. The storage unit can include a storage wall mounted on upper and lower telescoping rail systems, and can be selectively movable relative to a compartment opening from a storage mode, where the storage wall is disposed in a compartment to a retrieval mode, where the storage wall extends beyond the opening so a user can access air tank supports to store a self-contained breathing apparatus. Related methods of storing a contaminated apparatus in the storage unit, distal from the cab and occupants thereof, are also provided.
