A guide pin aperture is defined by at least one of the body or a bushing coupled to the body. The sprinkler assembly further includes a deflector slidably coupled to the body. The deflector includes a deflector body coupled to a guide pin. The guide pin includes a shaft portion extending through the guide pin aperture and a shoulder that is wider than the shaft portion and configured to engage at least one of the body or the bushing to limit movement of the deflector body away from the body.

    摘要: Fire suppression systems (10) include modules (14x) interconnected with a centralized controller (12). The modules (14x) are configured, assembled and sealed for system operation in harsh environments. Modules of the system include a printed circuit board (PCB, 32, 132), a microprocessor (34), and an operative component (36) assembled within a housing (30, 130). A gasket member (38) is disposed about the component to form a seal about the component. Operative components may include fire detection elements (14x, 50) or an LCD screen (36, 236). Modules of the system can include an encapsulant compound for filling a void between the housing inner surface and the printed circuit board. Modules of the system can include a sealed chamber with a port to interface a computer device. A power module of the system includes a sealed housing with connectors positioned to protect against moisture and debris and an isolating switch to permit maintenance of the system.

    摘要: A fire sprinkler including: a body connected to a water supply and having a passage, the passage having a sealing material or a sealing surface at a first end; an actuator disposed in the passage, the actuator and passage configuring a water-tight seal; a water spreader configured to direct water radially outward; and a wax motor actuated by an ambient temperature greater than a predetermined threshold temperature such that actuation of the wax motor exerts an actuation force on the second end of the actuator to move the actuator to a seal between the water supply and the water spreader; wherein the actuator is arranged such that the pressure from the water supply tends to move the actuator to stop water flow when the ambient temperature falls below the predetermined threshold temperature.

    摘要: An apparatus is disclosed for extinguishing a stovetop fire over a stovetop having a first burner, the apparatus including a container detachably mountable to a microwave positioned above the stove top, the container having a closure retained in a closed position on the container. A supply of fire suppressant material is retained within the container when the closure is in the closed position. A heat responsive actuator is disposed on the container. When the container is mounted to the microwave over the first burner, and the fire actuates the heat responsive actuator, the closure moves to an open position and at least a portion of the supply of fire suppressant material falls toward the first burner.
