摘要: A teaching aid for rotary motion of a pedal-driven wheeled vehicle features an arm configured to span from a lower end thereof positioned at a rotary pedal assembly of the pedal-driven wheeled vehicle in an upwardly and longitudinally inclined orientation to an upper end of the arm positioned at a longitudinally spaced location from the seat of the pedal-driven wheeled vehicle, which upper end is configured for gripping by a user. The aid further features a connector supported on the arm at or adjacent the lower end thereof, which is configured for attaching to the rotary pedal assembly on one side of the vehicle and at a spaced location from an axis of rotation of the rotary pedal assembly such that the arm acts as an extension for the user to drive rotary motion of the rotary pedal assembly by the user's hand.

摘要: A stationary bicycle is described having walking pole attachments for a pair of walking poles. The walking pole attachments are mechanisms that are attachable and mountable to one or more parts of a handlebar of a stationary bicycle in order to store the walking poles on the stationary bicycle. The walking poles can be mounted and stored vertically on either side of the handlebar of the stationary bicycle or can be mounted and stored horizontally on top of the handlebar of the stationary bicycle so as to be easily accessible to the user of the stationary bicycle while the user is seated on the stationary bicycle and is pedaling. Further, exercises are described that highlight various manners of exercising on the stationary bicycle while using the walking poles in a new form of exercise called pole-biking. Further, attachment mechanisms are attachable to the stationary bicycle for a resistance band.

摘要: A method includes steps of: measuring a variation in joint angle of a knee of a cyclist to obtain joint angle data; sensing a torque applied on a crank of a cycle or pedaling force applied to a pedal of the cycle to obtain force data; measuring an angular position of the crank to obtain crank angle data; measuring an electrical potential variation of a measured muscle of the cyclist to generate a measured EMG signal; estimating activation data and joint moment data based on aforementioned data and characteristics data; converting the activation data into estimated EMG signals based on the measured EMG signal and the activation data; and computing a coactivation parameter based on the aforementioned EMG signals.

The crank arm is manufactured of a material with non-uniform strain characteristics, the thin material layer is manufactured of a material with uniform strain characteristics, the crank arm is adapted to be deformed by a force, the thin material layer is adapted to be deformed correspondingly with the deformation of the crank arm, the at least one sensing element is adapted to measure the corresponding strain of the thin material layer to measure the force applied on the crank arm. A bicycle and a stationary exercise bicycle equipped with the crank apparatus are further provided.

摘要: A steering assembly for a mounted bicycle is disclosed herein. The steering assembly includes a support base and at least one omnidirectional roller assembly extending from a bottom surface thereof. The at least one omnidirectional roller assembly is operatively disposed in direct contact with a ground surface and is structured to facilitate movement of the support base along the ground surface in a plurality of different arcuate and linear paths to accommodate varying trail measurements of a bicycle. The varying trail measurements of the bicycle are defined by varying angles of the bicycle relative to the ground surface during operative use of the steering assembly.
