摘要: A fuel filter for an internal combustion engine may include a filter housing, a ring filter element arranged in the filter housing, a function carrier engaging in an interior space of the ring filter element, a water collection space arranged below the ring filter element, a first venting part channel, and a second venting part channel. The function carrier may include a clean channel extending therein. The first venting part channel may extend from the water collection space through the function carrier and may be communicatingly connected to an air discharge channel extending in the function carrier. The second venting part channel may extend through an upper end disc of the ring filter element and may be communicatingly connected to the air discharge channel.

摘要: A system includes an oil catch compartment, at least one magnetic stud or rod, a motor compartment, and a switch. The oil catch compartment includes a first end configured for coupling to an oil filter. The at least one magnetic stud or rod is positioned along a sidewall of the oil catch compartment. The motor compartment includes a gearbox shaft and a puncturing device. The gearbox shaft is telescopically coupled to a second end of the oil catch compartment. The puncturing device is coupled to the gearbox shaft and positioned at least partially within the housing of the motor compartment or the oil catch compartment. The switch is formed on an outside surface of a battery compartment and communicatively connected to a motor coupled to the gearbox shaft. The switch is actuatable to cause the motor to advance the puncturing device via the gearbox shaft.

摘要: A self-cleaning filtration media for use in hydrocarbon fluid filtration applications has a first layer on an upstream side and a second layer on a downstream side of the self-cleaning filtration media. The first layer is composed of polyethersulfone nanofibers having a diameter of 50-1000 nm (0.05-1 micron) and a basis weight of at least 1 gsm. The second layer is a nonwoven substrate suitable for filtration applications. The self-cleaning filtration media exhibits a dust holding capacity of at least 6 mg/cm2 and a filtration efficiency of greater than 90% for 4 micron particles when the self-cleaning filtration media is tested according to ISO 19438 for fuel filtration and according to ISO 4548-12 for oil filtration. When the second layer includes glass fibers, the self-cleaning filtration media has a dust holding capacity of at least 10 mg/cm2 and a filtration efficiency of greater than 99% for 4 micron particles when the self-cleaning filtration media is tested according to ISO 19438 for fuel filtration and according to ISO 4548-12 for oil filtration. The self-cleaning filtration media also has a fuel-water separation efficiency of at least 99% when a flat sheet is tested according to ISO 16332; and a lifetime of at least 90 minutes when tested with fuel and oil according to ISO 19438 and Iso 4548-12 using Medium Test Dust and a pressure drop of 70 kPa.

摘要: Vehicles or machinery equipped with full flow spin-on, canister or reusable filters can benefit by including advanced or bypass grade parallel filtration. Incorporating advanced filtration is generally difficult due to impractical lubrication system access, cramped engine bays, and some installation solutions require engine modifications and hardware. An apparatus of the present invention provides advanced filtration when used inside well-known manufactured forms of spin-on, cartridge, or reusable filters. The unit installs as a complete unit, without modifications, or external hardware to any engine at the spin-on filter point of attachment, inside the canister housing, or inside a reusable filter form. The apparatus uses the structures of the normally provided filter to enable a bolt-on installation. The apparatus increases filtration efficiency, capacity, easier maintenance, while providing environmental benefits.

摘要: The present invention relates to a filter element comprising an oil filter port adapted to be in fluid communication with an oil port of an engine the oil filter port includes threads for attaching the filter element in the oil port of the engine. Thus, the inventors realized that by providing the oil port with threads, the oil port of the filter element may be tightened in the oil port of the engine to in this way ensure axial locking of the filter element in the engine. The present invention also relation to a corresponding filter housing.
