Abstract:
A reciprocating cutting tool reduces deteriorating movement of an operating drum due to entry of chips between the operating drum and a housing. A reciprocating cutting tool includes a motor, a slider being rod-like and extending in a front-rear direction, a reciprocation converter that converts rotation of the motor to reciprocation in the front-rear direction and transmits the reciprocation to the slider, a power transmission housing accommodating the reciprocation converter, a tip tool holder at a front end of the slider to detachably receive a tip tool, and an operating drum operable to attach or detach the tip tool with the tip tool holder through rotation. The operating drum is rotatably held on the power transmission housing with one or more ring members.
Abstract:
A motor housing of housings forming an outer casing of a tool main body is provided with two battery attachment portions allowing attachment of rechargeable batteries. The two battery attachment portions are configured as slide attachment type battery attachment portions. The two battery attachment portions are suited to slide attachment type rechargeable batteries that are attached through sliding. The two rechargeable batteries are attached in the right-left direction of the tool main body so that the two rechargeable batteries can be arranged side by side in the direction in which the tool main body extends.
Abstract:
An accessory for a power tool includes a blade and a coupling. The coupling includes a blade portion, a tool portion, and a transition. The blade portion is fixedly coupled to the blade. The tool portion is configured to be removably coupled to the power tool. The tool portion also includes an opening. The transition extends between the blade portion and the tool portion, and the transition includes a first transition region, where the transition intersects with the blade portion, and a second transition region, where the transition intersects with the tool portion. The first transition region includes a first arc having a center that is arranged between the first arc and the opening, and the second transition region includes a second arc having a center that is arranged between the second arc and the opening.
Abstract:
A jigsaw may include a housing, a control member, a shoe member and a keel. The housing contains a motor and include a handle. The control member is moveable relative to the housing between at least a first position that implements a curve-cutting mode and a second position that implements a straight-cutting mode. The shoe member is connected to the housing and includes a bottom surface facing away from the housing. The keel is operable in a deployed configuration in which the keel protrudes through the bottom surface of the shoe member and a stowed configuration in which the keel does not protrude through the bottom surface of the shoe member. Relative motion between the shoe and the keel allows the keel to be in the deployed configuration when the control member is in the second position and the stowed configuration when the control member is in the first position.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a technique for achieving weight reduction of the counter weight while reducing vibration in a reciprocating power tool. A tool bit performs a predetermined operation by reciprocating. A slider reciprocates to drive the tool bit. A motion converting mechanism converts a rotating output of the motor into a reciprocating movement of the slider. A counter weight reciprocates in a direction opposite to the reciprocating direction of the slider to reduce vibration caused by the reciprocating movement of the slider. A component part includes component of motion in a direction parallel to the reciprocating movement of the slider to cooperate with the counter weight in reducing vibration caused within the power tool. Thus, the weight of the counter weight can be decreased.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a pendulum guide device for a jigsaw saw blade which executes reciprocating motions, having guide elements which grip onto a saw blade back of the saw blade and which are assigned to a frame. It is proposed that at least two guide elements (7) are provided, wherein one is fixed to the frame and the other is movably mounted to the frame (8) and is pretensioned onto and in the direction of the saw blade back (6).
Abstract:
A support arrangement for a reciprocating tool comprises a first locking surface configured to engage a second locking surface in a locking engagement. The first locking surface is secured to the reciprocating tool. The second locking surface is provided on a support foot assembly. A shaft extends between the first locking surface and the second locking surface. The shaft defines a shaft axis that is oriented substantially orthogonal to the tool axis. An adjustment mechanism is positioned on the shaft. The adjustment mechanism is configured to move upon the shaft and clamp the first locking surface and the second locking surface together. In at least one embodiment, a ratchet arrangement is provided in the adjustment mechanism. The ratchet arrangement limits the extent that the adjustment mechanism may be tightened to clamp the first locking surface to the second locking surface.
Abstract:
A motor-driven saber saw includes a guide device releasably connectable with the saw housing (11) in a region of the neck (13) and including a guide element (21) for guiding the saber saw (10) over a workpiece, a connection device (22) for connecting the guide element (21) to the housing (11) and having at least one connection part extending along an axis (A) and connectable with the neck (13), with the guide element (21) being supported on the at least one connection part (24) for displacement along the axis (A), and with the guide device (20) further including at least one spring element (27) located between the at least one connection part (24) and the guide element (21).
Abstract:
A guard sized and configured for detachable attachment to a housing of a reciprocating saw, which saw comprises a least one saw blade, wherein the guard forms at least one flexible surface which in turn defines an aperture which extends through the guard and which aperture is sized and configured to allow the blade to extend there through, and wherein the flexible surface contacts the blade when the blade extends through the opening so that a portion of the guard flexes with the movement of the blade to thereby inhibit entry of liquid or particulate debris into the housing when the saw is in use. Reciprocating saws modified with the guard and a method of protecting reciprocating saws from liquid or particulate debris are also provided.
Abstract:
