摘要: Provided is an apparatus for detecting a failure in holding a tool of a machine tool that includes, in each of a plurality of tool holding mechanisms in a tool magazine, a locking member provided to have different self-displacement positions for a case where a tool is held at a proper held position between tool gripping portions of a pair of holding arms and a case where the tool is held with deviation from the proper held position, and that detects a holding failure state of the tool in the tool holding mechanism by detecting the position of a detection target portion that moves integrally with the locking member with a predetermined detector provided in the machine tool. The apparatus makes it possible to effectively prevent a risk of a breakdown of and damage to the machine tool.

Under a state in which the constant velocity universal joint component is gripped by the collet chuck, the contact metal member holds the constant velocity universal joint component.

摘要: Systems and methods for intelligent tool detection are described. One embodiment includes placing a tool in a tool tray, and detecting a presence of the tool. Information associated with the presence of the tool is communicated to a processing system communicatively coupled to the tool tray. The tool is removed from the tool tray, and the removal is detected. Communication associated with the removal of the tool is communicated to the processing system. A distinction between information associated with the tool being present in the tool tray and information associated with the tool being removed from the tool tray is learned.

摘要: This unique and novel invention provides a custom data removal jig used to reliably, efficiently, and cost-effectively remove data from a handheld mobile computing device (“PC device”). The data removal jig comprises an open-box structure which provides one or more alignment features to assist with properly inserting the PC device within the data removal jig. Additionally, a pilot hole is provided by the securement structure. Once the PC device is inserted into the data removal jig, the pilot hole is substantially centered above the integrated flash memory chip on the particular PC device's motherboard which the data removal jig has been customized to accommodate. A power drill is used to precisely penetrate the PC device via the pilot hole and substantially isolate the damage to the integrated flash memory chip. Additionally, the securement structure also provides one or more braces that assist with restraining movement of the securement structure during the data removal process.

The power tool includes a motor, a battery pack interface that selectively receives a battery pack, a backup power source, and a wireless communication controller coupled to the backup power source and the battery pack interface. The wireless communication controller operates in a connectable state when coupled to a battery pack and transmits tool operational data to the external device and receives tool configuration data from the external device. The wireless communication controller operates in an advertisement state when the wireless communication controller is coupled to and powered by the backup power source. In the advertisement state, the wireless communication controller is configured to transmit the unique tool identifier. The external device may also display an indication of the communication state of the power tool.

摘要: A method of monitoring a tool clamping device mounted on a machine spindle, the clamping force of which tool clamping device is generated by a spring assembly which exerts a force in the direction of the clamping position on an actuating element actuating the clamping or the release of a tool or tool holder. In the method, the spring force and the displacement of the actuating element are continuously measured during the release and/or clamping of a tool or tool holder and recorded as functions of the time. These recorded functions are used to identify at least one parameter characteristic for the status of the tool clamping device. Based on the spring force and the displacement over time, a spring characteristic curve is plotted in the form of the spring force as a function of displacement, the analysis of which spring characteristic curve provides information about a number of characteristic parameters.
