摘要: A method for separating a first mechanical part from a second mechanical part is described, wherein the second mechanical part is bonded to the first mechanical part by an adhesive film along a connecting area, the first mechanical part having a first specific thermal conductivity and the second mechanical part having a second thermal conductivity that is higher than the first thermal conductivity. The method includes at least one cooling step during which the second mechanical part is cooled to a negative temperature and at least one stressing step during which the second mechanical part is subjected to mechanical stress in order to cause the adhesive film to break.

摘要: Combining rotating and gyrating structures, to achieve a specific velocity of a mass, within a device, can reduce the number of parts as compared to a design using only gyration induced acceleration, and can reduce the absolute dimensions compared to a design using only rotation induced acceleration. Synchronous motions allow the accelerated mass to transition from a rotating reference frame to a gyrating reference frame without a significant physical gap or jump, greatly reducing any potential for ricochet. Re-phasing within the device may be accomplished several times. The mass is ejected and directed toward a target.

摘要: An integrated liquidjet system capable of stripping, prepping and coating a part includes a cell defining an enclosure, a jig for holding the part inside the cell, an ultrasonic nozzle having an ultrasonic transducer for generating a pulsed liquidjet, a coating particle source for supplying coating particles to the nozzle, a pressurized liquid source for supplying the nozzle with a pressurized liquid to enable the nozzle to generate the pulsed liquidjet to sequentially strip, prep and coat the part, a high-voltage electrode and a ground electrode inside the nozzle for charging the coating particles, and a human-machine interface external to the cell for receiving user commands and for controlling the pulsed liquidjet exiting from the nozzle in response to the user commands.

摘要: A linear actuator comprising a motor adapted to axially rotate a rotor shaft in alternating directions, the motor having a stator positioned co-axially around the rotor shaft with the rotor shaft being co-axially coupled to a drive mechanism to convert axial rotation of the rotor shaft into reciprocal displacement of the drive mechanism, the drive mechanism having opposed ends, one end coupled to a piston arranged within a cylinder to define a pumping chamber between the piston and the cylinder, wherein alternating rotation of the rotor shaft causes reciprocal linear displacement of the piston within the pumping chamber, and the linear displacement of the drive mechanism operates a lubrication system within the linear actuator.
