摘要: Technology for controlling in-vehicle three dimensional (3D) printer(s) that replenish road engaging surfaces of the vehicle assembly. In some embodiment the 3D printer is controlled to replenish the road engaging surface while the vehicle is being driven. In some embodiments, an Internet of Things (IoT) sensor is used to detect wear on the road engaging surface to help control the location(s) where the 3D printer adds the additive material.

摘要: Provided is a method of repairing damage on a wind turbine blade with a simple method. The method of repairing a wind turbine blade is a method of repairing a wind turbine blade for a damage portion caused by a lightning strike, including the steps of: generating in advance a repairing member molded in a predetermined flat plate shape and solidified; determining a damage determination range defined in advance for the damage portion; and bonding the repairing member when a result of inspecting the wind turbine blade indicates that the damage portion is within the damage determination range. The step of generating the repairing member may include stacking glass fiber materials to generate the repairing member.

摘要: Methods for modifying contours of substrate surfaces are disclosed. Methods include depositing filler material on a critical mating surface of a substrate so as to render the mating surface more mateable with a matching substrate. The filler material can be deposited within or around features or defects on the mating surface such that a final desired surface contour is achieved. In some cases, the final surface contour of the mating surface is planar. This can prevent gaps associated with the features or defects from forming between the substrate and the matching substrate when they are joined together. The final surface contour of the mating surface can be determined by comparing dimensions of the mating surface to dimensions of a reference surface. In some cases, ink jet printing techniques are used to deposit the filler material accurately in prescribed locations and with precise thickness control.

摘要: An in-situ double vacuum debulk (DVD) composite repair system designed to produce partially or fully cured autoclave-quality hot-bond composite repairs on contoured structures. The system provides vacuum pressure for hot bond repairs to be performed on flat and contoured structures using one set-up capable of debulking (partially curing) and then fully curing composite repairs on composite and metallic aircraft structures. The use of in-situ DVD also eliminates handling of the patch/adhesive when transferring from an off-aircraft DVD chamber to the repair site on the aircraft. This can increase the probability of successful repairs because the possibility of contaminating and misaligning the adhesive and repair patch are eliminated.

摘要: A repairing method for a repaired composite material and a composite material using this method, which are capable of readily repairing, in a short time, a gap due to delamination generated between layers of completely hardened composite material. In the repairing method for composite material, a hole (4) is formed through the delamination (3) generated between layers (1a, 1b) of hardened composite material, and a joining member (6) is inserted into the hole (4) so as to join the delamination (3) generated between the layers (1a, 1b) of the hardened composite material.
