    Abstract: A method for building green tyres includes: feeding an elementary semifinished product with a feeding apparatus; associating an anthropomorphic robotized arm with a forming drum; sending movement commands to the arm to move the forming drum in a working zone, the forming drum being moved while the feeding apparatus is feeding an elementary semifinished product, so that it is laid on the forming drum. Movement commands are sent to the arm, including: determining target coordinates for the arm in order to move the forming drum in the working zone; modifying the target coordinates by a correction function associated with the arm and the working zone, and using the modified coordinates for such movement commands.

    Abstract: Disclosed is a tire building system including a first drum, a second drum and first stations, a first support, a first carrier that carries the first drum with respect to the first support, a second support and a second carrier that carries the second drum with respect to the second support, wherein the first carrier is movable along the first support in a first positioning plane, wherein the second carrier is movable along the second support in the first positioning plane, wherein the first support is arranged for supporting the first carrier from below the first positioning plane and wherein the second support is arranged for suspending the second carrier from above the first positioning plane. The disclosure further relates to a method for positioning the first drum and the second drum with respect to the first stations with the use of the aforementioned system.

    Abstract: An apparatus for building tyres for vehicle wheels are described. A substantially cylindrical carcass sleeve, having at least one carcass ply, includes consecutively adjacent strip-like elements laid one after the other around the circumferential extension of a substantially cylindrical deposition surface. Circumferentially consecutive strip-like elements laid one after the other form overlap zones along respective longitudinal edges superimposed on each other. Each overlap zone has, along a longitudinal extension thereof, terminal sections that are laterally opposite with respect to an intermediate section. The intermediate section of each overlap zone has greater width than the width of the terminal sections.

    Abstract: The present invention glues a rubber strip on the surface of a non-right circular cylindrical winding body with good precision. The present invention reduces the space occupied by the apparatus. The tire member-forming apparatus is provided with a transport conveyor with a conveyor belt that is guided by guide rollers so that the conveyor belt is able to circle. The conveyor surface of the conveyor belt is provided with a conveyor surface width center line that extends in a straight line over the entire length thereof. The guide rollers are grouped into guide rollers on the front side of the conveyor direction and guide rollers on the back side of the conveyor direction. The front guide rollers are held so as to be capable of tilting around the conveyor surface width center line. As a result, on the conveyor surface, a twistable twisting conveyor surface section is formed between a front conveyor surface section, which is supported by the front guide rollers, and a back conveyor surface section, which is supported by the back guide rollers.
