摘要: An electronic device may have a display and may be configured to fold about a bend axis that overlaps the display. The display may have a display cover layer formed from three layers of glass fused together. The display cover layer may have outer glass layers that have lower coefficients of thermal expansion than a core inner layer that is formed between the outer glass layers. This places the outer glass layers into deep compressive stress relative to the inner layer, which is under tensile stress. A notch may be formed in one of the outer glass layers to enhance flexibility of the display cover layer in a strip-shaped notch region that extends along the bend axis. An exposed portion of the inner glass layer in the notch may be chemically strengthened.

摘要: The present invention provides a wood substitute material made from recycled polyethylene terephthalate (PET) covered in a polywood-type veneer. The wood substitute material is a durable, eco-friendly, and cost-effective alternative to wood. Additionally, the wood substitute material is distinguishable in that it has insulating properties. Constructed thermoplastic polymer layers may be combined to be used in various applications such as furniture, cabinetry, shelving, countertops, construction, flooring, and as a substitute for wood in other wood-based products. Construction and creation of these materials provides a solution to the growing problem of deforestation and the increasing numbers of plastic products filling the world's landfills.

摘要: The present disclosure relates generally to fiberglass panels, for example, suitable for acoustic ceiling surfaces. The present disclosure relates more particularly to an acoustic panel having a top surface, a bottom surface, and a perimeter edge. The acoustic panel includes a layered fiberglass panel body including a core fiberglass layer and a high density fiberglass layer secured to a lower face of the core fiberglass layer. The high density fiberglass layer has a higher density than the core fiberglass layer. The layered fiberglass panel body includes an outward projection at the perimeter edge of the acoustic panel that is formed by the high density fiberglass layer and a portion of the core fiberglass layer. A supporting perimeter frame extends around the outer edge of the core fiberglass layer, and the outward projection of the layered fiberglass panel body extends outward beneath the supporting perimeter frame.
