摘要： A hand-operated tool for embossing a membrane or other soft pliable implant with microgrooves or microgeometries is disclosed. The tool includes an embossing surface such as a pressure plate or roller that includes a specific microgroove or microtopographical pattern. This allows a user such as a clinician to create an embossed surface on a membrane or other implantable device at the time of surgery for the purposes of directing cellular orientation and migration, increasing cell migration velocity and enhancing re-epithelialization rates in various medical and dental applications.

摘要： A hand operated label printing machine in which a series of labels are incrementally fed onto a printing platen in response to the squeezing of a hand lever so that they may be imprinted with selected indicia. The hand labeler is equipped with an ink supply device, comprising a holder that holds two inking rollers. The holder is movable to bring the inking rollers into and out of contact with the types of the printing device to ink them. The ink supply device is actuated by a mechanism which is comprised of a combination of a cam pivotally attached to the machine frame and a roller pivotable with the printing head supporting printing lever for being received in the cam and for pivoting the cam with the printing lever. A link joins the cam with the holder, so that pivoting of the cam moves the holder. Guide grooves in the machine frame regulate the inking roller motion along different loci. The link has a slot in it which prevents the holder from linear protrusion to the front of the labeler frame.

摘要： A hand operated label printing machine in which a series of labels are serially fed onto a printing platen in response to the squeezing of a hand lever so that they may be imprinted with selected indicia. The hand labeler is equipped with a constant pressure printing mechanism interposed between the hand lever and the frame of the hand labeler. That mechanism comprises a biased cam pivotally mounted to the hand lever and a roller on a biased support which support is pivotally mounted to the machine frame. The cam and roller are brought into abutment contact while the hand lever is being squeezed, and springs bias them into abutment and prevent their bypassage. The label printing force is the force that has to be applied for the cam to ride over the roller, which occurs when one of the springs resiliently deforms.

摘要： The disclosure relates to a cartridge type supply device for use with a portable, one-hand-operable labeling machine of the type including a printing mechanism with printing types arranged for imprinting inscriptions on each of a series of labels traveling along a predetermined path through the machine toward a dispensing opening of the machine. The ink supply device comprises a cartridge holder pivotally supported at one end thereof within the labeling machine in a readily detachable manner and a replaceable inking roller cartridge supported detachably by the other end of said cartridge holder said cartridge including a rotatable inking roller. The cartridge holder is spring-biased to urge the inking roller onto surfaces of the printing types of the printing mechanism of the labeling machine. When the inking roller cartridge is used up, the cartridge holder can be taken out of the machine together with the used cartridge. A cartridge box for housing spare inking roller cartridges is provided.

摘要： A hand labeller comprising a label sheet roll for supplying a label sheet consisting of a carrier paper and label blanks laminated on the carrier paper, typing means for pressing the labels sheet onto an anvil plate thereby to effect a typing on each one of the label one by one, and labelling means for adhering the label carrying the typed letter onto the object to be labelled. The labelling means have a cut out or partially removed back adapted to be reciprocatingly moved within an angular range which does not interrupt the passing of an ink roller. The typing means include a roller for supporting a type wheel and having a plurality of projections projecting toward a supporting shaft, and an engaging piece disposed in a bore of said shaft and resiliently biased to project out of the surface of the shaft. The arrangement is such that the projections of the roller are brought into engagement with the engaging piece, in accordance with the rotation of the shaft. The label sheet roll is supported by a supporting member having a slit extending from one toward the other axial ends and a retaining portion provided in the vicinity of the starting end of the slit. The supporting member is adapted to be received by a bore formed in the labeller body, and is prevented from being dropped off from the bore by a projection formed in the bore. The hand labeller further has a guide plate for guiding the label sheet to the anvil plate, having at its intermediate portion a winding section. A feed roller is provided confronting the winding section to press the label sheet onto the winding section.
