    摘要: A mess-free coloring system comprising a coloring medium and optionally one or more coloring utensils is disclosed. The coloring medium can include a substrate with or without decorative effects and one or more coating layers on a surface of the substrate. In various examples, the one or more coating layers include a color-triggering developer, e.g., in the form of a substantially clear resin, and an opaque pigment. Decorative effects integrated with or disposed on the substrate, while initially obscured by the one or more coating layers, can be revealed when the coating layers are mixed with at least one color precursor stored and dispensed from a coloring utensil. The opaque pigment is selected and configured such that, upon receipt of at least one color precursor by the one or more coating layers, a change in the pigment's reflective index occurs as the pigment dissolves into the clear resin developer.

    摘要: A direct thermal and thermal transfer label combination is provided. The label includes a substrate, and the substrate includes a thermal print coating applied to a front side of the substrate. The label also includes a liner attached to a backside of the substrate along a first side of the liner. Further, an aqueous resin-based thermal transfer coating is applied to a second side of the liner. The front side of the label is capable of being imaged through direct thermal printing while the second side of the liner represents an opposite side of the label that is capable of being imaged through thermal transfer printing.

    摘要: A thermal transfer sheet, which includes a transfer layer, is superposed on a transfer receiving article, and while the transfer layer is continuously transferred onto the article by a printer comprising a sheet supplying device, heating device, sheet winding device, measuring device located between the heating and sheet winding devices to measure the tensile strength of the thermal transfer sheet conveyed along a conveyance path, and release device located between the heating and the measuring devices, under conditions including an applied power for printing: 0.15 W/dot and a conveying speed for the thermal transfer sheet: 84.6 mm/sec., the transfer layer transferred on the article is released from a constituent member in contact with the transfer layer of the thermal transfer sheet, has a tensile strength measured by the measuring device of 0.1 N/cm or less.
