摘要: A children's book includes pages having text in a first orientation and pages in a second orientation, the first and second orientation related by being upside down relative to each other. As a child reads the book from a first end, the child encounters up a page with writing in both orientations, instructing him to turn the book upside down, close, and re-open the book. As the child re-opens the book that was turned upside down, the story continues from the opposite end of the book.

摘要: Embodiments are described herein for a teller check that includes enhanced security features. In response to a request from a user, a teller check image is generated using a check template and that includes check information in fields of the check template. The teller check also includes a unique visible pattern or unique visible picture in the image that serves as an enhanced security feature. A captured image or received image of the teller check is able to be verified based on data extracted from the unique visible pattern or unique visible picture.

摘要: This invention comprises a customized book (1) preferably in hardcover that is obtained through a sequential process developed using a specific software application, in which the user, usually but not necessarily a child, visits a website on which several settings are offered for the user to literally set up their character, such as: skin color, race, eye color, glasses, clothes, type of shoes, anyway, several parameters can be set for that specific interaction, which are obviously variable as desired. Once the character is chosen and set up, with all registered settings, the system generates an avatar (2), which is transferred into the book through a software application. Thus, the previously chosen book, with preferably famous characters, receives in an interactive manner the avatar (2) chosen to take part in the story, which arouses in the child an extremely pleasant feeling, as well as in their parents and other adult people.

摘要: A system of notebooks that are color-coded to relate to a particular class or subject. For example, a green notebook could relate to a Science class, a red notebook could relate to Math, etc. The notebooks are fashioned to employ different calligraphy. The system further includes control articles such as an agenda to track student progress using indicia and give rewards to the student for achieving predetermined milestones. The indicia correlates sections in the control article (agenda) with the notebooks or other items. Said indicia visually aids students, parents and teachers to track the student's progress and creating a habit of having an organized schedule for school.

摘要: A calendar has one or more individual pages of the calendar that include portions of the pages that are omitted, removed or removable in order to enable aligned portions of other pages of the calendar to be viewed through the removed portions. The removed portions can be formed as apertures in the page and/or as removed portions of one or more edges of the page, among others to allow the stacked pages to form a coordinated, and optionally customizable, decorative appearance for the calendar.

摘要: A two-sided articulating note comprises a generally flat writing portion having opposing front and back sides and a hinged edge, an anchor portion, and a joint portion between the anchor portion and the hinged edge. A method of using the note configures the note in a first configuration by securing the anchor portion to an object so that the front side of the writing portion is exposed and the back side of the writing portion faces the object while the note lies flat, writes on the front side of the writing portion while the note is in the first configuration, configures the note in a second configuration by folding over the note about the joint portion to cause the back side of the writing portion to be exposed, and writing on the back side of the writing portion while the note is in the second configuration.

摘要: A system for providing guided interactions with books includes a content delivery terminal communicatively coupled to a computing platform including a hardware processor and a memory storing a content delivery software code, a content registry, and a library of entries corresponding respectively to multiple interaction plans for guiding an interaction with a book. The hardware processor executes the content delivery software code to detect, via the content delivery terminal, a book corresponding to content included in the content registry, and to identify an interaction plan for the guided interaction based on one or more of the content and a user input received by the content delivery terminal. The content delivery software code further identifies a first portion of the content for use in initiating the interaction plan, and outputs the first portion of the content to the content delivery terminal for printing by the content delivery terminal in the book.

摘要: There is provided a book arrangement and a method of use thereof. The book arrangement includes a printed book for providing primary content, one or more mobile communication devices, and a remote database arrangement couplable via data communication network to one or more mobile communication devices. Moreover, the one or more mobile communication devices each include data processing hardware and data memory therein. Furthermore, the book arrangement includes a sensor arrangement for detecting a given page of the printed book being viewed or read by a user and generating corresponding sensed data. The data processing hardware and the data memory of the one or more mobile communication devices is configured to process sensed data to determine the given page, and to fetch corresponding supplementary content from the data memory and/or the remote database arrangement for presenting to the user on a graphical user interface of the one or more mobile communication devices.

摘要: The present invention is enclosed in the area of pagination of printed publications such as a newspaper or a book. It is an object of the present invention a method for the pagination of a printed publication which comprises the following steps: a) providing a sequence of media to be printed on the publication, b) providing a first positioning for even pages and a second positioning for odd pages wherein said first positioning and second positioning are such that any η odd page is: i) positioned adjacently to an η+1 first even page, and ii) has on its directly opposite side a second even page η+3, and c) printing and sequencing and d) organising the sheets, and thereby obtaining said printed publication. Such method therefore provides that two consecutive pages are always simultaneously present in a single field of view obtained from a position in front of the publication.

摘要: A book has a front cover having a first edge which is unconnected, and an opposing second edge which is connected to a spine. A back cover has a first edge which is connected to the spine and an opposing second edge which is connected to flexible joint or fold-line. The book has a third cover having a first edge which is connected to the flexible joint, that couples the third cover to the back cover, and an opposing second edge which is connected to binding. The front cover is configured to fold back about the spine to retain the third cover proximal the second edge of the third cover to retain the book in a propped-up position for reading. A page holder slides along the left and right sides of the third cover and has an opening that allows a page to be pushed therethrough.
