    Abstract: A wheel lock having an L-shaped member and a hub mount. When coupled to a wheel of a trailer, the rotation of the wheel forces the L-shaped member into the ground, or into the underside of the trailer, thus immobilizing the wheel from rotating. Additionally, a puck lock, and a locking member having a lock guard, are utilized to ensure that the lock is not tampered with. Furthermore, a shield is incorporated to prevent an unauthorized user from removing the fasteners that secure the wheel lock to the wheel of the trailer.

    Abstract: A system and method for deterring catalytic converter theft are described. A variety of devices are described which can be installed as needed on the underside of a vehicle as part of a system to prevent easy access to the points where a catalytic converter is connected to the vehicle, thus deterring theft, or to prevent a catalytic converter from being removed from the vehicle after being disconnected from the exhaust system. The method comprises installing said devices to prevent this access. The devices may be installed separately or combined to protect multiple catalytic converters as needed and as dictated by the particular design of the exhaust system of a particular vehicle.

    Abstract: A method for door or tailgate operation in a transportation vehicle, wherein the transportation vehicle is equipped with an access control device with which determines whether the operating person is present with an authentication element within a proximity area around the transportation vehicle. The device is equipped with at least one communication module for wireless communication with the authentication element, wherein access authorization information is transmitted from the authentication element to the device, the information being checked in the device, and wherein access is granted to the device following verification of the access authorization. It is determined whether the operating person is located in the immediate vicinity of the door or tailgate to be operated, and whether the operating person performs an operating movement in the immediate vicinity for the door or tailgate operation.
