摘要: A controller for a vehicle having a continuous track for vehicle propulsion. The controller is programmed to: process (i) a speed value indicative of a speed at which the vehicle is being driven; and (ii) a time value indicative of a period of time for which the vehicle has been driven at that speed; determine an overheating parameter value based on the speed value and the time value; compare the overheating parameter value with a threshold value, wherein the threshold value is representative of undesirable operation for the continuous track; and generate an output signal for the vehicle in accordance with a result of the comparison of the overheating parameter value with the threshold value.

摘要: A climbing vehicle capable of high payload to weight ratio and capable of climbing surfaces with geometric variations is enabled through a suspension mechanism consisting of a resilient runner chain. The resilient runners contain adhering members such as magnets that create forces directed toward a ferrous climbing surface. The resilient runner has flexibility and internal stiffness or additional springs that transfer these forces to the climbing vehicle chassis and payload to provide equilibrium during the climbing process. It is able to conform to a large range of surface irregularities while providing push and pulling forces between the adhering members and the climbing vehicle chassis to uniformly distribute the climbing loads on the adhering members. The result is a climbing machine that can accommodate large surface irregularities while maximizing the climbing payload with a minimum number and size of adhering members.

摘要: A crawler device includes a wheel support, wheels respectively rotatably supported thereto, and a crawler belt run around the wheels. Each of the wheels includes a rigid wheel body and an elastic material exterior part fixed to an outer periphery of the wheel body. Raised portions are formed in an outer periphery of the exterior part to continuously extend in a width direction and be arranged in a circumferential direction spaced from each other. Drain grooves extending through the exterior part in the width direction are formed between the raised portions. Top surfaces of the raised portions of the exterior part surface contact an inner peripheral surface of the crawler belt with a frictional force working therebetween. Restriction members stopping opposite side edges of the crawler belt are provided in the wheel support to restrict the crawler belt from being displaced with respect to the wheels in the width direction.

摘要: In a mobile vehicle 1A having a front wheel 3f and a rear wheel 3r, the steered wheel 3f can be steered by an actuator 8. A control device 15 controls the actuator 8 so as to stabilize the inclination angle φb in the roll direction of the vehicle body 2 and the steering angle δf of the steered wheel 3f. The control device 15 causes the sensitivity of the steering of the steered wheel 3f to the change in observed value of the inclination angle φb to be changed in accordance with the steering angle of the steered wheel 3f.

摘要: The present disclosure is directed to a pin joint component for a pin joint assembly that has improved wear surfaces, especially for those portions of the pin joint component surface that interface thrust rings, lips, and other adjacent wear components. The pin joint component comprises a first treated region that is formed by removing material from the wear surface of the pin joint component and replaced with clad material. Prior to this operation, a second treated region is formed by removing material from a section of the pin joint component distinct from the first treated region and performing a nitriding process thereon.

摘要: A track assembly for traction of a tracked vehicle, such as an agricultural vehicle, an industrial vehicle (e.g., a construction vehicle) or a military vehicle, is provided. The track assembly comprises a plurality of wheels which comprises a drive wheel and a plurality of roller wheels, as well as an elastomeric endless track disposed around the plurality of wheels for engaging the ground. A roller wheel may comprise a wheel body and a covering on the wheel body. The covering may comprise a lateral portion dimensioned to contact a drive/guide lug of the track. The roller wheels and the track may implement a self-alignment system of the track assembly. The track assembly may comprise a cooling system for transferring heat away from a roller wheel. The track assembly may comprise a lateral motion mechanism allowing a roller wheel to move widthwise in response to a side load.

摘要: The present invention generally provides a wheel replacing traction assembly which uses, for propulsion, a longitudinally extending traction band disposed around and cooperating with a sprocket wheel, a supporting structure, and idler and/or road wheels. The supporting structure of the traction assembly comprises an independent suspension generally replacing the suspension of the vehicle. In use, the suspension of the vehicle is replaced by a rigid member that can be adjustable in length in a further embodiment. The presence of a suspension in the supporting structure of the traction assembly decreases its unsprung mass.
