Abstract: An off-road trailer includes a lower frame, a housing positioned on the lower frame, an extendible trailer tongue with a ball hitch receiver, an upper frame positioned above an upper surface of the housing, a rear frame, and at least two wheels. The upper frame and housing may store off-road gear, such as camping accessories. The housing may have one or more retractable platforms that may receive additional gear. Due to the configuration of the lower frame and the wheels, the trailer may be configured to traverse numerous types of terrain due to its lightweight frame and maneuverability.

Abstract: A system for protecting the body and frame of a vehicle from flying debris, particularly during a tire blowout includes a mounting apparatus configured to secure a protective shield, which may be a protective plate and/or fender, to an axle of a vehicle. In embodiments, the protective plate may be mounted to the axel via a mounting apparatus, and the fender may further be mounted to the mounting apparatus and/or protective plate. In some embodiments, the protective plate may be mounted directly to the axel, and the fender may further be mounted to the protective plate, whereby the plate may serve as the mounting apparatus.

Abstract: A portable towing system for motorcycles or similar vehicles, such as trikes, features a frame that can be lowered to ground level for easy loading by pushing or riding the vehicle onto the frame. The system can be assembled, raised, lowered, and disassembled by a single person. Raising and lowering are achieved through a mechanism connected to the wheel assemblies. The system includes a towable cargo container with a walled container, a top that opens and closes, and left and right side openings in the rear sidewall. Left and right wheel assemblies with elongated tubes are insertable into these openings, oriented orthogonally to the wheel axes. A receiver for a vehicle tow bar allows the cargo container to be towed when connected to a vehicle.

Abstract: A vehicle trailer for a towing vehicle has a first wheel and at least one second wheel. At least one electric auxiliary drive system is coupled to the first wheel and second wheels for exerting a first torque on the first wheel and a second torque on the second wheel(s). The auxiliary drive system is adapted as an electrical auxiliary drive system capable of recuperation with an auxiliary energy storage device. A force measuring device can measure a longitudinal force signal as the longitudinal force exerted by the towing vehicle on the vehicle trailer by means of a connection. A control unit is adapted to adjust the torque to the first and second wheels on the basis of the electric auxiliary drive system and as a function of the longitudinal force, while maintaining a minimum tractive force. The invention also relates to a vehicle train.

Abstract: A trailer braking system having a surge component used in combination with an electric over hydraulic brake system. The surge component includes a sliding member with a magnetic sensor for detecting trailer deceleration, the sliding member providing an initial pressurization of the hydraulic system. A trailer mounted electrical circuit detects when the tow vehicle brakes are applied and includes a microcontroller for detecting the speed of deceleration provided by the magnetic sensor. A trailer mounted electric motor receives a signal from the circuit board to vary pressure to the brakes in accordance with the speed of deceleration.
