    摘要: Disclosed is a capsular-type underwater release lifeboat that can be operated in davit mode, freefall mode and underwater mode. The lifeboat comprised of an outer shell, and fitted inside with engines that aid in forced and normal propulsions of the lifeboat. Two air pockets are arranged in both the ends of the outer shell to sustain underwater pressure and to aid increased buoyancy of the lifeboat. A fixed Emergency Positioning Indicating Radio Beacon (EPIRB) is provided inside the lifeboat for rescuers to easily locate the survivors and a double water tight entrance door is formed on the top portion to resist the underwater pressure. The present invention also provides a method for releasing the lifeboat underwater. The reinforced lifeboat discussed herein shall be deployed on the sea and also underwater in order to rescue the people during a disaster in the sea vessel.

    摘要: A dock, for launching and recovery of a lifeboat, rescue boat or like small boat on a vessel, a floating platform or a fixed installation. The boat (14) is normally stored on the dock. The dock is provided with buoyant elements (1) fixed to a frame (3). The boat (14) is supported in a cradle (2) within the frame (3). On launching and recovery of the boat (14), the dock is lowered to a floating position on the surface of the water. In order to fix the boat (14) to the dock, a locking device (9, 15) is provided. By modifying the configuration and size of the buoyant elements, the dock is given rolling and pitching periods which coincide as closely as possible with those of the boat (14). The dock and the boat (14) will thereby behave in approximately the same manner in the water, which makes it relatively simple to run the boat (14) into the dock even in a very heavy sea. When the boat (14) has been introduced into the dock, it is in contact with the dock at least two points, and the boat (14) and the dock are then fixed to one another by a locking device (9, 15) to form a cohesive unit.

    摘要: The safety clutch includes a first tubular part (1), a second tubular part (13) and a plurality of locking members (5) co-operating with the parts in such a manner as to establish therebetween a releasable connection. The locking members (5) have inclined abutting surfaces (11) orientated so that the engagement between the surfaces and a corresponding abutting surface (12) on the second part (13) exerts a radially outward force on the locking members (5). The force is transmitted over axially parallel locking surfaces (16) to a corresponding locking surface (19) on an encircling locking ring (18) which in the locked position of the clutch mechanically prevents the locking members (5) from disengaging the second part (13). The releasing force of the clutch is thus closely associated with the frictional force existing between the locking surface (16 and 19) and which in practice may have any desired value. A spring-biassed and axially displaceable release ring (25) for releasing the clutch is arranged around the locking ring (18 ). Dependent upon the allowed axial displacement of the release ring (25) it is obtained that the force transmitted to the locking ring is either equal to the force of the inserted spring or is directly equal to the force exerted on the release ring (25). This opens up the prospect of obtaining in a simple manner a safe release of the clutch in the off-load case as well as in the on-load case.
