摘要: A watercraft maneuvering system includes propulsion devices provided on a hull, steerings each including a steering actuator to change a steering angle of a corresponding propulsion device, steering angle sensors to detect the steering angle of the corresponding propulsion device, and steering controllers each configured or programmed to control the steering actuator of the corresponding steering. The steering controllers are configured or programmed to feedback-control the corresponding steering actuator based on an output signal of the corresponding steering angle sensor to achieve a target steering angle. The feedback control includes a first mode using a first feedback parameter, and a second mode using a second feedback parameter. The steering controllers are configured or programmed to perform the feedback control in the first mode when at least one of the propulsion devices is operating, and perform the feedback control in the second mode when all the propulsion devices are not operating.

摘要: A flexible coupling mechanism may be used to suspend a structural component, such as a propulsion pod, from a support member, such as a strut of a hydrofoil watercraft. The flexible coupling mechanism may include multiple vibration isolating mounts configured to extend through the support member to suspend the structural component. The vibration isolating mounts may include a plurality of elastomeric bushings configured to prevent direct contact between a component rigidly coupled to the support member and a component rigidly coupled to the structural component. The elastomeric bushings may include a tapered outer profile configured to provide a nonlinear force feedback profile in response to rotation of the support member relative to the structural component.

摘要: A method for operating a propulsion device having a propulsor with a propeller, the propulsion device having a base coupled to a marine vessel and being configured to propel the marine vessel in water. The method includes moving the propulsor from a deployed position towards a stowed position, where the propulsor is closer to the marine vessel in the stowed position than in the deployed position, and where the propulsor is configured to propel the marine vessel in the deployed position. The method further includes rotating the propeller so as to fit between sides of the base coupled to the marine vessel when the propulsor is in the stowed position.

摘要: A calibration method for at least one propulsion unit of a marine vessel, the at least one propulsion unit being arranged to provide a propulsive force to the vessel, the at least one propulsion unit being adjustable so as to change a respective steering angle of the at least one propulsion unit in relation to a hull of the vessel. The method includes controlling the at least one propulsion unit so as to provide at least one acceleration sequence, wherein the vessel is accelerated stepwise or continuously in each acceleration sequence, adjusting, continuously or repeatedly, during the acceleration sequence, the steering angle of the at least one propulsion unit, to keep the path of the vessel straight during the acceleration sequence, registering, during the acceleration sequence, a plurality of values of the respective steering angle of the at least one propulsion unit, and determining, based at least partly on the registered steering angle values, a respective reference steering angle of the at least one propulsion unit, which reference steering angle minimizes a deviation of an actual course over ground of the vessel from a desired course over ground of the vessel.
