    Abstract: The invention relates a banknote compartment module, includes a base unit having a support structure, a first banknote compartment coupled to the support structure and configured to receive a stack of banknotes, and a subunit coupled to the support structure and arranged adjacent the first banknote compartment. The subunit is movable with respect to the first banknote compartment between a first configuration and a second configuration. The first banknote compartment provides a first space dimension for receiving the stack of banknotes when the subunit is in the first configuration and provides a second space dimension for receiving the stack of banknotes when the subunit is in the second configuration. The first space dimension is greater than the second space dimension.

    Abstract: An image reading apparatus includes a stacking portion, a feeding unit, a reading unit, and a discharge portion provided below the stacking portion. The feeding unit feeds a sheet stacked on the stacking portion in a feeding direction. The reading unit reads an image on the fed sheet and the discharge portion discharges the read sheet. The stacking portion includes first and second support surfaces that support the sheet and first and second regulating units to regulate a position of the sheet in a widthwise direction using two opposing ends of the sheet. The second support surface is retractable from a predetermined section above the discharge portion. The first support surface includes a downstream support portion that supports the sheet on a downstream side of the predetermined section in the feeding direction. A part of the second regulating surface is positioned on the downstream support portion.

    Abstract: An image forming apparatus includes an image forming portion to form an image on a sheet, a tray on which sheets to be fed are stacked, and a swing member supported by the tray and configured to swing in a case where the swing member is pushed by a discharged sheet. A stacking portion includes a first surface on an upper portion of a first portion, and a moving member in contact with the discharged sheet. The moving member can be positioned at a position downstream of the first surface in the discharge direction, wherein the swing member overlaps with the first surface as viewed in the sheet width direction in a case where the swing member is not in contact with a discharged sheet, and the swing member is arranged such that a lower end of the swing member is not in contact with the stacking portion.

    Abstract: A recording device as a processing device includes: a recording unit accommodated in a housing and configured to perform recording on a medium; and a medium accommodating unit that accommodates the medium discharged from the housing. The medium accommodating unit includes: a sheet-shaped accommodating member; a rotating shaft provided inside the housing and to which one end of the accommodating member is connected; and an operating portion provided separably from the housing and to which the other end of the accommodating member is connected. The accommodating member is wound around the rotating shaft and accommodated inside the housing when the operating portion is mounted on the housing. The accommodating member is fed from the rotating shaft so that the medium is accommodated when the operating portion is separated from the housing.
