Abstract: A media conveying apparatus includes a feed table on which a medium is placed, a conveyor to convey the medium placed on the feed table, a sensor to detect floating of the medium conveyed by the conveyor, an ejector to eject the medium conveyed by the conveyor, an ejection tray located above the feed table to stack the medium ejected by the ejector, and an extension tray connected to a downstream side of the ejection tray in a media ejection direction. In a state where the medium ejected from the ejector is stacked on the ejection tray and the extension tray, a lower end portion of the extension tray on an upstream side in the media ejection direction is located closer to the feed table than a lower end portion of the ejection tray on a downstream side in the media ejection direction.

Abstract: A sheet discharge device includes: a sheet discharge portion; a sheet stacking portion having a sheet stacking surface for stacking a sheet discharged from the sheet discharge portion; and a stopper in the sheet stacking portion against which, for alignment, the leading end of the sheet discharged from the sheet discharge portion is thrust. The stopper has a support portion, a restricting portion, and an urging mechanism. The restricting portion is supported pivotally on a pivot shaft on the support portion, and is arranged either in a retracted position to lie flat substantially horizontally along the sheet stacking surface or in a restricting position to stand upright substantially vertically to the sheet stacking surface. The urging mechanism urges the restricting portion, when in retracted position, in a direction from restricting position to retracted position and, when in restricting position, in a direction from retracted position to restricting position.

Abstract: Two-dimensional material sheets are stacked in a stacking device. One of a printing machine and a coating machine has at least one stacking unit having a stacking space. Material sheets are conveyed, via the stacking space of the stacking unit, comprised by the stacking device, and are deposited into a stack on top of one another on a loading aid. For two different production runs, the stacks are formed on the loading aid with the four corners of their areas in mutually different relative orientations with respect to the loading aid, which is arranged, in each case, in the stacking space of the stacking unit and is larger-format compared with the material sheets to be deposited in each case. For the two production runs, in each case, one loading aid of the same format is positioned on different positions, as seen in projection in the horizontal, in the stacking space of the stacking unit.
