Abstract: An article and method for supporting a user in providing and tightening a knot is provided. The article includes a knotting device and thread, including a base section, a thread storage section, and a knot support element including at least one flap folded into a frustoconical shape, being hollow and open on a base end of the frustoconical shape and on a tip end of the frustoconical shape the thread includes a first and a second end opposite the first end along the length of the thread. The first end of the thread is arranged in the thread storage section and the second end of the thread forms a plurality of windings of a non-tightened knot, one of which is arranged on and around an outer surface of the frustoconical shape of the knot support element, the knot support element thereby supporting and holding open the non-tightened knot.

The example kit provides for the successful creation of unique wearable articles using Brunnian link assembly techniques and includes several pin bars that are supported in a desired special orientation by at least one base. The desired special orientation is dependent on the desired linked configuration of the completed article. The pins may be assembled in various combination and orientations to provide endless variation of completed link orientations.

Abstract: A knot stretcher for use in tightening splice knots that connect twine balls on an agricultural baler. The knot stretcher includes a pair of pulling bars connected at pulling bar pivot at one end of each of the pulling bars, and a pair of levers, where one of the pair of levers is attached in a middle section of its respective pulling bar. Each lever has a handle portion at one end and an arm portion extending from an elbow formed in the lever. Each lever attaches to its respective pulling bar with a fixed pivot located near the elbow and distal ends of the arm portions of the two levers are attached at a moving pivot. The knot stretcher has clamping jaws positioned on the pulling bars to securely clamp a respective one of the twine tails of the splice knot that is to be tightened.

Abstract: The present application relates to a quick string-tying device including a first case body provided with a first bottom portion, a first open end, and a first sidewall extending and formed from the first bottom portion towards the first open end, the first bottom portion and the first sidewall forming a first accommodation space, the first bottom portion being provided with a first string-passing opening for two free ends of a string to pass therethrough, a slit formed on the first sidewall and extending from the first open end towards the first bottom portion, the slit being used to clamp the two free ends of the string which enter into the slit. The quick string-tying device is suitable for use on various items that require tying of a string, and can achieve quick tying and loosening of a string. A method for tying a string is also disclosed.

Abstract: The invention relates to a device for tying multiple portions of a mass filled into a casing (8) at tying points provided for this purpose using a thread (10). The device comprises a rotor (1) and a guide device (20) which is connected to the rotor (1) for guiding the thread (10). The rotor (1) has a receiving section (18) for receiving multiple windings of the thread (10), and the device is designed such that the thread (10) is guided from the receiving section (18) by the guide device (20) and is wound about the tying point during a rotation of the rotor (1). The device additionally has a reservoir for receiving the thread (10), wherein the device additionally has a supply device (9), and the supply device (9) is designed to either supply the thread (10) from the reservoir (12, 15) to the receiving section (18) or to remove the thread from the receiving section (18).

Abstract: A suture assembly, including a button having two apertures and a suture defining a lumen and forming a double loop, formed by a double trap having a first end and a second end, opposed to the button. A first portion of the suture is threaded through the trap from the first end to the second end, and a second portion of the suture is threaded through the trap from the second end to the first end. The assembly further defines a first single trap, in which the first portion of the suture is threaded through the lumen between the second end and the button. Also defined by the assembly is a third trap, in which the second portion of the suture is threaded through the lumen between the first end and the button. Finally, the double loop is threaded through the two apertures of the button.
