摘要: Disclosed is a manual pouring device or belonging, suitable for piercing and emptying a granular material contained in a vacuum-sealed package, including: a tubular body, having a duct for the flow of the material, extending from an inlet opening positioned at a first end of the tubular body to an outlet opening for the granular material, positioned at a second end of the tubular body; and a hollow piercing tool having a distal end ending in a pointed tip, and a widened base at the proximal end thereof, rigidly connected to the body. The device further includes a shoulder serving as a stop, configured to come into contact with the wall of the package to stop the pouring device when the wall is pierced by the piercing tool.

摘要: A sample processing station includes two or more container holders on a platform that is rotatable about a central axis of rotation. Each holder is configured to rotate about a secondary axis of rotation. The station includes a capping/decapping mechanism to cap or decap a container held in one of the container holders and an elevator with a chuck guide that contact the container holder as the chuck is lowered by the elevator to positon the chuck with respect to the cap of the container held in the holder and to hold jaws of the container holder in a closed position. In embodiment, the chuck guide includes a yoke with opposed arms and spindles located near distal ends of the arms that engage beveled shoulders of the container holder.

摘要: A clamp of the dispensing device may include a container engagement surface arranged to engage and/or disengage the clamp from the container neck when the clamp is pushed downwardly or pulled upwardly relative to the container neck. The container engagement surface may include a surface with a lower portion that slopes upwardly and inwardly, and an upper portion that slopes upwardly and outwardly relative to the container neck and that moves the clamp radially outwardly and away from the container neck as the clamp is moved vertically relative to the container neck. A latch may maintain a body portion of the dispensing device in an upper position, preventing needle insertion, until a container is suitably engaged with the base portion of the device, e.g., by a clamp. Sensors may detect engagement of a container with the device and/or insertion of a needle into the container.

摘要: An electric can opener comprises a motor, a controller, and a signal-detecting element monitoring at least one of (i) an audio signal and (ii) a motion-type signal during operation of the can opener. The controller determines a baseline signal value, calculates a threshold signal value and compares the monitored signal value to the calculated threshold value. The controller stops operation of the can opener if the detected signal is outside the threshold from the baseline.

摘要: A handheld puncturing tool which may be used as a hand-operated puncturing tool for puncturing a container or opening a bottle. An individual's hand motion and action of piercing and pressing through a container with a handheld puncturing tool may be fast and easy for the individual. At one end of a handheld puncturing tool, a claw-shaped prong protrudes. And, protruding along the elongated body of a handheld puncturing tool may be a first sharp-ended tooth prong and a second sharp-ended tooth prong. With the sharp-ended prongs and the light weight of the handheld puncturing tool, an individual may easily operate the handheld puncturing tool to puncture a container and create a venting hole which directs airflow into the container, which reduces any vacuum effect potentially caused when the second sharp-ended tooth prong pierces the container.
