摘要: A method and associated system for producing syngas containing hydrogen from waste plastics. The method and system provide for pretreating waste plastics; producing a pyrolysis gas by introducing the waste plastics pretreated in the pretreatment process into a pyrolysis reactor; producing from a lightening reaction a pyrolysis oil by introducing the pyrolysis gas into a hot filter; dehydrating a first mixed solution, obtained by mixing the produced pyrolysis oil with washing water and a demulsifier, by applying a voltage to the first mixed solution; hydrotreating a second mixed solution obtained by mixing the dehydrated first mixed solution with a sulfur source to produce a refined pyrolysis oil from which impurities are removed; and gasifying the refined pyrolysis oil, wherein a liquid condensed in the hot filter is re-introduced into the pyrolysis reactor.

Fabricating a nanocomposite catalyst includes forming nanoscale metal oxide clusters including a first metal on a support, and depositing one or more metal atoms including a second metal on the nanoscale metal oxide clusters. The nanocomposite catalyst is suitable for catalyzing reactions such as CO oxidation, water-gas-shift, reforming of CO2 and methanol, and oxidation of natural gas.

It is useful in reducing the carbon footprint of certain industrial technologies, and in production of synthesis gas.-

摘要: In a method for producing hydrogen and carboxylic acid, a primary alcohol of 1 to 7 carbon atoms and water are reacted by being continuously introduced into a flow reactor packed with a solid catalyst consisting of an alloy of ruthenium and tin on a support and passed through the reactor under temperature and pressure conditions at which the water assumes a gaseous state. This method enables hydrogen and carboxylic acid to be produced in a high yield or at a high purity from a primary alcohol and water in a short time and by simple operations.

摘要: There are provided systems and methods for using partial oxidation to produce an end product from hydrocarbon gases, such as flare gas. There are provided methods and systems to minimize the amount of compression work needed for an air breathing engine reformer in a gas-to-liquid system and method by one or more of: (a) reducing the amount of nitrogen; (b) increasing back-pressure of the engine reformer from standard 1 or 2 bar, to up to 5 bar; (c) use of a turbo-expander to recover much of the compression work, thus lowering the cost, among other efficiencies, to operate a plant; and (d) utilizing an intensified synthesis loop to achieve acceptable methanol synthesis at lower overall pressure. In an embodiment, the end product is methanol.

摘要: Electrochemical cells for the production of hydrogen from liquid fuels and methods of operating the cells to produce hydrogen and electricity are provided. The electrochemical cells are solid state cells that incorporate a thermochemical conversion catalyst and a hydrogen oxidation catalyst into the anode and utilize solid acid electrolytes. This cell design integrates thermally driven chemical conversion of a starting fuel with electrochemical removal of hydrogen from the conversion reaction zone.
