摘要: The solar powered water purification device is intended to provide users with an apparatus for the rapid purification of dirty water to drinkable water, using only the power of the sun. To accomplish this, the device uses an insulated tub and a detachable solar panel with an extra sheet of glass to trap heat that can power all the electrical components of the distillation unit as well as heat up the impure water in the insulated tub. The insulated solar panel has a temperature sensitive vent to prevent the panel from overheating if there is no water in the unit. To prevent the unit from collapsing from the vacuum, the unit uses a grill that has many hollow legs that also act like thermal tubes to quickly move the heat from the panels to the dirty water. Thus, the device is an energy efficient and cost-efficient apparatus for water purification.

摘要: A method for desalinating a saline or a brackish water includes filling an inner portion of a basin with the saline or the brackish water to saturate a second sponge. Adjusting a rear reflective mirror to reflect an incident solar radiation onto a serpentine pipe. Adjusting a top double sided reflective mirror to reflect the incident solar radiation through a front surface of a glass cover and onto a water tank. Adjusting a front reflective mirror, a right reflective mirror, and a left reflective mirror to reflect the incident solar radiation through the glass cover. A temperature rise inside the basin causes the saline or the brackish water to become heated and vaporized into water vapor. Condensing the water vapor to form distilled water droplets which are collected in a plurality of troughs as distilled water. Flowing the distilled water from the plurality of troughs to a storage tank.

摘要: Systems and methods for separating components from a fluid stream are described. The systems and methods described herein may be specifically well suited for separating solids, hydrocarbons, chemicals, non-evaporable components, etc., from wastewater produced by oil and gas recovery. The systems and methods may generally include the use of a heat exchanger through which a fluid stream is passed to thereby evaporate some or all of the fluid stream. The heated stream exiting the heat exchanger may include vapor, liquids and/or solids. This heated stream is then subjected to phase separation to separate a vapor stream from a liquid/solids stream. The vapor stream is then transported back to the heat exchanger where it is used to transfer heat from the vapor stream to the fluid stream. During the operation of the heat exchanger, a scraping system may be used to scrape the one or more surfaces of the passage through which the fluid stream flows in order to prevent buildup of solids and liquids thereon.
