摘要: The present invention relates to a novel liquid-liquid extraction process of a bio-oil obtained by an improved thermochemical process. This extraction process gives rise to two distinct phases: an organic phase, with bio-oil of energetic added value, and an aqueous phase, where the following can be obtained by chemical compounds with added value: lactic acid, formic acid, hydroxymethylfurfural, furfural, levulinic acid, monosaccharides, disaccharides and compounds with antioxidant properties, among others.

摘要: Methods of isolating phenols from phenol-containing media. The methods include combining a phospholipid-containing composition with the phenol-containing medium to generate a combined medium, incubating the combined medium to precipitate phenols in the combined medium and thereby form a phenol precipitate phase and a phenol-depleted phase, and separating the phenol precipitate phase and the phenol-depleted phase. The methods can further include extracting phenols from the separated phenol precipitate phase. The extracting can include mixing the separated phenol precipitate phase with an extraction solvent to solubilize in the extraction solvent at least a portion of the phenols originally present in the phenol precipitate phase.

摘要: In an embodiment, a method of recovering phenol comprises heating a preheater inlet stream in a preheater to form a splitter inlet stream; separating the splitter inlet stream into a splitter top outlet stream and a splitter bottom outlet stream in a splitter column; separating the splitter bottom outlet stream into a crude top outlet stream and a crude bottom outlet stream in a crude phenol column; hydro-extracting the crude top outlet stream in a hydro-extractor column to form an extractor primary outlet stream; recovering a product phenol outlet stream from the extractor primary outlet stream in a finishing column; combining a bisphenol A plant phenol recovery stream from a bisphenol A reaction from a bisphenol A phenol purification system with the preheater inlet stream, the splitter inlet stream, the splitter bottom outlet stream, the crude top outlet stream, or a combination comprising at least one of the foregoing.
