摘要: Methods for forming latexes are provided. In an embodiment, such a method comprises adding a monomer emulsion comprising water, a monomer, an acidic monomer, a hydrophilic monomer, a difunctional monomer, a first reactive surfactant, and a chain transfer agent, to a reactive surfactant solution comprising water, a second reactive surfactant, and an initiator, at a feed rate over a period of time so that monomers of the monomer emulsion undergo polymerization reactions to form resin particles in a latex. The reactive surfactant solution does not comprise monomers other than the second reactive surfactant, the reactive surfactant solution does not comprise a resin seed, and the monomer emulsion does not comprise the resin seed. The latex is characterized by a viscosity in a range of from about 10 cP to about 100 cP as measured at a solid content of about 30% and at room temperature. The latexes are also provided.

摘要: A method for preparing an aqueous mineral suspension from an aqueous metal ore residue may include introducing into the aqueous metal ore residue a polymer (P) having a molecular mass Mw measured by GPC ranging from 2,000 to 20,000 g/mol. The polymer (P) may be prepared by radical polymerization of at least one anionic monomer (M). The suspension produced by such a method may have a Brookfield viscosity of which is lower than 1,800 mPa·s or a yield point of lower than 80 Pa.

摘要: A preparation method of a molecularly imprinted polymer (MIP) for separation and concentration of 4-methylsterane compounds is provided. A template molecule, a functional monomer, a porogen, an initiator and a cross-linking agent are mixed and subjected to polymerization to prepare a polymer with the template molecule, which is then treated to remove the template molecule, so as to give the desired MIP. The template molecule is β-sitosterol or deoxycholic acid. The obtained molecularly imprinted polymer has multiple stable hole structures and binding sites inside, and has memory and recognition functions for the 4-methylsterane compounds, exhibiting excellent specific adsorption performance. The MIP can contribute to the accurate identification of correlation between depositional environment and maturity of crude oils or source rocks. A molecularly imprinted polymer prepared by such method, a chromatographic column and an application thereof are also provided.

摘要: The present invention relates to a process for modifying an aqueous polymer latex of polymer particles that bear carboxyl groups comprising the mixing of the aqueous polymer latex with at least one silane compound of formula (1) at a temperature of at least 60° C.: (RO)3-nR1nSiR2X (1) wherein R is C1-C10-alkyl, C3-C10-cycloalkyl, C6-C10-aryl, C1-C10-alkoxy-C1-C10-alkyl, C2-C10-alkenyl, C1-C4-alkyl-C6-C10-aryl or C6-C10-aryl-C1-C4-alkyl, R is C1-C10-alkyl, C3-C10-cycloalkyl, C6-C10-aryl, C2-C10- alkenyl, C1-C4-alkyl-C6-C10-aryl or C6-C10-aryl-C1-C4-alkyl, R2 is a covalent chemical bond or a C1-C20-alkylene, in which non-adjacent methylene units can be replaced by O-groups, n is 0, 1, 2 or 3, and X is a radical having 3 to 10 carbon atoms and bearing an oxirane group. The present invention also relates to modified aqueous polymer latexes obtainable by such process and to the use of these polymer latexes as binders or co-binders for industrial varnishes.

The copolymer is chain extended and/or branched by one or more copolymers of one or more vinylidene aromatic monomers and one or more unsaturated compounds having electrophilic groups, or a portion of the chains of the copolymer of one or more vinylidene aromatic monomers and one or more nucleophilic groups are crosslinked with other chains of the copolymer of one or more vinylidene aromatic monomers and one or more nucleophilic groups by ionic bonding of anions formed from the pendant nucleophilic groups with a metal cation having a valence of 2 or greater or complexation between pendant acid groups and metal oxides.

摘要: Electro-responsive hydrogel particles are flowed into a first wellbore formed in a subterranean formation. An electric circuit is established between the first wellbore and a second wellbore formed in the subterranean formation. An electric current is applied through the electric circuit, thereby exposing the electro-responsive hydrogel particles to an electric field and causing at least one of swelling or aggregation of the electro-responsive hydrogel particles to form a flow-diverting plug within the subterranean formation. Water is flowed into the first wellbore to increase hydrocarbon production from the second wellbore.

As a solution, an aqueous coating material composition is provided that contains a polyester resin (A), acrylic resin particles (B), a curing agent (C), and a coloring pigment (D), wherein the polyester resin (A) is a resin containing a trifunctional or higher polyfunctional polycarboxylic acid (a1) and a polyol (a2) as monomer components.

A polymer replica of a target substance, the target substance having multiple types of binding groups including at least a binding group BG1 and a binding group BG2 on the surface, wherein: the polymer replica is configured from a second molecularly imprinted polymer having, as a template, a first molecularly imprinted polymer having the target substance as a template; the polymer replica has on the surface thereof at least a binding group bg1 at a position corresponding to the position of binding group BG1 and a binding group bg2 at a position corresponding to the position of the binding group BG2 on the surface of the target substance; and the polymer replica of the target substance can be used as a template during synthesis of a molecularly imprinted polymer having a specific recognition site for the target substance because the polymer replica accurately inherits the surface information possessed by the target molecule.
