摘要: A polyetherurethane polymer containing isocyanate groups and having an NCO content in the range from 1.3% to 1.9% by weight and a monomeric diisocyanate content of not more than 0.5% by weight, obtained from the reaction of at least one monomeric aromatic diisocyanate and a polyether triol having an average OH functionality in the range from 2.2 to 2.6 and an OH number in the range from 25 to 32 mg KOH/g in an NCO/OH ratio of at least 3/1 and subsequent removal of a majority of the monomeric diisocyanates by means of a suitable separation method, and to moisture-curing polyurethane compositions having a monomeric diisocyanate content of less than 0.1% by weight, comprising said polymer.

摘要: In some aspects, a system for forming a hydrogel composition is described that comprises (a) a multifunctional cyclic carbonate compound and (b) a radiopaque, reactive polymer that comprises a plurality of amino groups that are reactive with the multifunctional cyclic carbonate groups of the multifunctional cyclic carbonate compound. In other aspects, a radiopaque crosslinked hydrogel composition is described that comprises a crosslinked reaction product of a multifunctional cyclic carbonate compound and a radiopaque, reactive polymer that comprises a plurality of amino groups. In further aspects, a method of treatment is described that comprises administering to a subject a mixture that comprises a multifunctional cyclic carbonate compound and a radiopaque, reactive polymer that comprises a plurality of amino groups, wherein the mixture is administered under conditions such that the multifunctional cyclic carbonate compound and the radiopaque, reactive multi-arm polymer crosslink after administration.

摘要: This invention relates to adhesive compositions comprising a polyester polyol that includes residues of at least one 2, 2, 4, 4-tetraalkylcyclobutane-1, 3-diol, including, for example, 2, 2, 4, 4-tetramethylcyclobutane-1, 3-diol (TMCD). Adhesive compositions as described herein exhibit enhanced properties as compared to conventional adhesive compositions, and may be suitable for a wide variety of end use applications, including, flexible packaging, woodworking, automotive uses, and electronics.

摘要: Disclosed herein is a method and thermoset made by: reacting a di- or tri-functional isocyanate with a silyl-containing compound to form a polyurethane having at least one unreacted isocyanate group, reacting the polyurethane with an aminoalkylalkoxysilane to form an alkoxysilane-terminated polyurethane, and moisture-curing the alkoxysilane-terminated polyurethane to form the thermoset. The silyl-containing compound has the formula: SiR1n[R3—(O—CO—X—R3)m—OH]4-n. Each X is —O— or —NR2—; each R1 is an alkyl group or an aryl group; each R2 is —H, an alkyl group, or an aryl group; each R3 is an alkylene group; n is 0, 1, or 2; and each m is a non-negative integer. The thermoset may be degraded by treatment with a solution of a fluoride salt in an organic solvent.

摘要: Polyol premixes and thermally insulating rigid polyurethane foams, such as those that can be used as a thermal insulation medium in the construction of refrigerated storage devices, are disclosed. A polymer polyol having a OH number of greater than 260 mg KOH/g is utilized. The resulting polyurethane foams can exhibit improved thermal insulation properties without sacrificing other important physical and processing properties.

摘要: A moisture-curing, one-component polyurethane composition, containing at least one isocyanate group-containing polyether urethane polymer obtained by reacting at least one polyisocyanate with at least one polyether polyol; at least one isocyanurate-containing trimer of 1-isocyanato-3,3,5-trimethyl-5-isocyanatomethyl cyclohexane or 1,6-hexane diisocyanate in a quantity of between 1 and 4 percent by weight in the composition; at least one polyether with blocked hydroxyl groups, which is free of isocyanate groups, as a plasticiser, in a quantity of more than 5 percent by weight in the composition. Where moisture is excluded, the moisture-curing polyurethane composition has good storage stability, good processability and good thermal stability, and surprisingly good adhesive effect on highly scratch-resistant, hydrophobic automotive paints, and no pretreatment with adhesion promoters, primers or activators is needed. It is especially suitable for use as an elastic adhesive in the production of means of transport.
