摘要: A composite nanomaterial of ZnO impregnated by, e.g., a green copper phthalocyanine compound (CuPc) can be an efficient solar light photocatalyst for water remediation. The composite may include hollow shell microspheres and hollow nanospheres of CuPc-ZnO. CuPc may function as a templating and/or structure modifying agent, e.g., for forming hollow microspheres and/or nanospheres of ZnO particles. The composite can photocatalyze the degradation of organic pollutants such as crystal violet (CV) and 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid as well as microbes in water under solar light irradiation. The ZnO—CuPc composite can be stable and recyclable under solar irradiation.

摘要: In one aspect, the disclosure relates to anodically coloring organic electrochromic materials as discrete chromophores. The chromophores are UV absorbing in the neutral state and upon oxidation form vibrantly absorbing, colored radical cation and dication species. In an aspect, the disclosed materials include UV absorbing discrete chromophores based on a 2-thiomethyl-dioxythiophene coupled to a triphenylamine or carbazole unit. In another aspect, consideration of steric effects and tuning substituent pattern can lead to new cation radicals that are highly saturated in the colored state and have increased color vibrancy. The chromophores and materials containing the same can be used in electrochromic color-to-clear switching devices including, but not limited to, windows, displays, signs, goggles, glasses, and the like.

摘要: Provided are a phthalocyanine pigment that is non-water soluble and has antibacterial or antiviral effect, and inks, printed matter, paints, coatings, plastics, fibers, films, cosmetics, and the like containing the pigment. A specific phthalocyanine pigment has antibacterial or antiviral effect, although the pigment is non-water soluble, and has significantly high performance in terms of heat resistance and light fastness, compared with a dye-based antibacterial colorant, because of being a pigment. Because of being a pigment, the phthalocyanine pigment also has antibacterial and antiviral effects in applications such as inks, printed matter, paints, coatings, plastics, fibers, films, and cosmetics, thus achieving the task described above.

摘要: A method for synthesizing a polymer/pigment hybrid latex through sulfur-free and soap-free in-situ reversible addition-fragmentation chain transfer (RAFT) emulsion copolymerization includes the following: dispersing a pigment with a reactive emulsifier to prepare a pigment dispersion; synthesizing an amphiphilic sulfur-free ω-vinyl-terminated polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) macromolecular RAFT agent in-situ on a surface of pigment particles through catalytic chain transfer polymerization (CCTP); and adding an acrylate monomer dropwise, allowing in-situ sulfur-free RAFT polymerization on a surface of pigment particles through the RAFT agent, and adjusting a structure and a composition of an encapsulated polymer layer to obtain a series of uniformly encapsulated and stably dispersed polymer/organic pigment hybrid latexes. The new hybrid latex prepared through sulfur-free and soap-free in-situ RAFT emulsion copolymerization has the characteristics of high dispersion stability, high pigment encapsulation efficiency, clear encapsulated polymer layer sequence, controllable structure, etc., which is suitable for surface encapsulation modification of various pigments.

摘要: An organic electroluminescent device having a capping layer composed of material having a high refractive index, excelling in thin film stability and durability and having no absorption in the respective wavelength ranges of blue, green, and red is provided to improve device characteristics of the organic electroluminescent device, particularly to greatly improve light extraction efficiency. The organic electroluminescent device has at least an anode electrode, a hole transport layer, a light emitting layer, an electron transport layer, a cathode electrode, and the capping layer in this order, wherein the capping layer contains an arylamine compound (X) having a structure in which two triphenylamine structures are joined within a molecule via a single bond or a divalent group that does not contain a heteroatom.
