摘要: A method for producing a coating layer with scratch resistance and flex resistance, a laminated structure, and a coating composition are provided. The method includes coating the coating composition on a plastic substrate and performing a curing operation on the coating composition to form a cured coating layer. The coating composition includes a polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxane, a multifunctional epoxy resin, a cationic light initiator, and an organic solvent, and the polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxane has a cage-like structure. The curing operation has a baking temperature that is within a range from 75° C. to 200° C., a baking time that is within a range from 30 s to 120 s, and an UV curing energy that is within a range from 250 mJ/cm2 to 1,250 mJ/cm2.

摘要: There is provided a thermosetting powder coating material capable of forming a cured product having excellent workability at coating and high plasticity as well as heat resistance, resulting in heat resistance and crack resistance at bending processing. (A) denotes a bisphenol type epoxy resin having epoxy equivalent weight of 600 to 800 g/eq (not including 800 g/eq), (B) a rubber-modified epoxy resin, (C) a bisphenol type phenyl resin curing agent (D) a compound for activating (C), (D1) an imidazole compound and (D2) an amine-epoxy adduct type compound. The thermosetting powder coating material is composed of a finely pulverized composition. The composition comprises (A), (C) and (D) but does not comprise (B). (D) comprises (D1) and (D2), and a weight ratio of (D2) with respect to (D1) is 1.0 or more and 3.7 or less when (D1) is 1.

摘要: A resin composition and method for installing a pipe liner that allows the liner to be fully wet out with a resin and activator and stored for a period of up to six months prior to installation and curing. A method of lining a pipe with a delayed curing resin composition is also provided that includes fully wetting out a liner with a blended two part epoxy composition such that the liner can be transported in a wet out fashion, placed in a pipe to be lined and repositioned as needed without concern for the resin composition to begin curing.

摘要: The present disclosure provides a method for forming a barrier coating including the steps of providing a barrier coating forming solution, applying a single coat of the barrier coating forming solution to a surface of a substrate, allowing the applied barrier coating forming solution to cure or dry to form a barrier coating, and subjecting a top surface of the formed barrier coating to a nanotexturing process to form a predetermined pattern of spaced upstanding features in the top surface of the formed barrier coating to increase hydrophobicity of the coating. A nanotextured barrier coating including a substrate having a predetermined pattern of spaced upstanding features formed in a top surface of the substrate, wherein the substrate comprises a base coating component and at least one performance component, and wherein the barrier coating is applied as a single layer.
