摘要: A method of producing a mixture of pure feedstock-based native polyphenols from a feedstock. Contaminant polyphenols are first removed from an enzyme solution for converting feedstock to a product to produce a polyphenol reduced enzyme solution. The polyphenol reduced enzyme solution is combined with the feedstock and the feedstock is converted to a product and by-product. Heretofore, there has been no process available to reduce or remove the contaminant phenols introduced to the feedstock by commercial enzyme solutions. This method allows for the removal of contaminant phenols prior to introduction to the processing stream and subsequent harvesting of pure feedstock—based native polyphenols. The pure feedstock-based polyphenols are removed from the product or by-product to produce a pure mixture of feedstock-based polyphenols.

摘要: The invention discloses a microlens and an application thereof, wherein the microlens is a lipid particle. The microlens prepared by the invention is simple in preparation and extraction methods, and does not need extra processing. The lipid particle is capable of serving as an optical element inside a cell to exert an optical function and has a complete biocompatibility; and meanwhile, the lipid particle is naturally generated inside the cell, and has a natural position-close relationship with a microstructure inside the cell, and is capable of collecting and re-positioning an optical signal of the microstructure in a near field, so that an imaging quality of the cell microstructure of an optical microscope is effectively improved.

摘要: Disclosed are techniques and systems for producing microbials having anaplerotic oils that are rich in odd-chain fatty acids, and other beneficial components, at higher concentrations than those present in other natural dietary sources of OCFA, at lower cost, and higher production yield. Such compositions can comprise pentadecanoic and heptadecanoic fatty acids. The techniques described herein include methods for producing and deriving such compositions rich in odd-chain fatty acids from microbials, including microalgae and yeasts/fungi.

摘要: This invention is a system for the production of biomass from photosynthesizing microorganisms that includes a photobioreactor comprising a transparent panel made from two transparent sheets with a separation between them, with top and bottom openings and with transparent, parallel subdivisions that form a panel of vertically arranged, transparent cells, where each transparent cell has a top opening and a bottom opening; a lower recirculation chamber in fluid contact with the bottom openings of the transparent panel; an upper recirculation chamber in fluid contact with the top openings of the transparent panel; a gas distribution tube externally arranged along the edge of said transparent panel; where said gas distribution tube comprises gas injectors arranged in fluid contact with the interior of a plurality of transparent cells; and a supporting structure that supports the transparent panel, the lower recirculation chamber, the upper recirculation chamber and the air distribution tube.

摘要: The invention involves mutant or recombinant Chlorophyte algal organisms that have a genetic modification in a gene encoding a chloroplastic signal recognition particle 43 (cpSRP43). In one embodiment the Chlorophyte organisms are Trebouxiophyte algae that are diploid or polyploid for a gene encoding a chloroplastic signal recognition particle 43 (cpSRP43). The mutant organisms can have a genetic modification in one allele of the gene but not in another allele of the gene. The mutant or algal organisms have higher biomass and lipid productivity. Additional mutant or algal organisms are disclosed that also have a genetic modification to one or more genes encoding a light harvesting chlorophyll a/b (binding) protein.
