The invention further relates to a corresponding coating method and to the use of the substrates coated by this method.

The apparatus may include a process water line. The process water line may be in fluid communication with a sample process water line. The sample process water line, the dilution line, and a phosphate analyzer may be in fluid communication with a diluted process water line. The apparatus may also include a chemical additive feed line in fluid communication with the process water line downstream from the sample process water line.

摘要: Further lower iron loss can be achieved in a grain-oriented electrical steel sheet including: a predetermined film mainly composed of forsterite on a front and back surfaces thereof; and a plurality of grooves on the front surface thereof, in which the plurality of grooves have an average depth of 6% or more of a thickness of the steel sheet and are spaced a distance of 1 mm to 15 mm from respective adjacent grooves, the steel sheet has a specific magnetic permeability μr15/50 of 35000 or more when subjected to alternating current magnetization at a frequency of 50 Hz and a maximum magnetic flux density of 1.5 T, and the steel sheet includes isolated parts having a presence frequency of 0.3/μm or less, the isolated parts being separated from a continuous part of the film in an interface between the steel sheet and the film in a cross section orthogonal to the rolling direction of the steel sheet.

摘要: A pretreatment composition for metal that provides enhanced corrosion resistance, enhanced paint adhesion and reduced chip damage to a wide variety of metal substrates. The pretreatment is also cleaner because it is based on zirconium rather than zinc phosphates. The pretreatment coating composition in use preferably comprises 50 to 300 parts per million (ppm) zirconium, 0 to 100 ppm of SiO2, 150-2000 ppm of total fluorine and 10-100 ppm of free fluorine, 150 to 10000 ppm of zinc and 10 to 10000 ppm of an oxidizing agent and has a pH of 3.0 to 5.0, preferably about 4.0. The coating composition can optionally include 0 to 50 ppm of copper. The suitable oxidizing agents can be selected from a large group.

摘要: Described are techniques for treating metals by exposing the metals to reactive solutions to reduce a temperature of the metal and to modify a surface of the metal through chemical reaction, such as by removing material or adding material. The disclosed techniques may advantageously increase the rate at which the temperature of the metal may be reduced as compared to conventional cooling techniques involving pure water, increase metal manufacturing rates, and reduce overall complexity of a metal manufacturing process. The disclosed techniques may also advantageously expand the range of available surface treatments, allow for faster surface treatment processes, and reduce or eliminate the use of hazardous chemicals during a surface treatment process. Such advantages may arise by employing chemical processing that takes place or takes place more efficiently at elevated temperatures.

The abrasive media collides with the part of the surface and causes abrasion to the part of the surface. In the method, the first carrier includes steam. The steam of the first carrier heats the part of the surface.

摘要: A composite material is provided including a polymer matrix and undercooled liquid metallic core-shell particles disposed in the matrix, wherein the particles each have an outer shell and a liquid metallic material as a core contained within the outer shell. The outer shell is frangible such that the liquid metallic material is released from at least some of the particles in response to a mechanical load applied to the composite and solidifies in-situ in the polymer matrix. As a result, the composite material can be self-strengthening and self-healing and can be reconfigurable in shape at ambient temperature.

摘要: An electrical steel sheet has an insulation coating on a steel sheet surface. The insulation coating includes: a binder consisting of 100 parts by mass of a metal phosphate and 1 to 50 parts by mass of an organic resin having an average particle size of 0.05 to 0.50 μm; and a carboxylic acid-containing compound with a carbon number of 2 to 50 in an amount of 0.1 to 10.0 parts by mass based on 100 parts by mass of solids content of the binder. The organic resin is at least one selected from the group consisting of acrylic resins, epoxy resins, and polyester resins. The insulation coating of this electrical steel sheet shows good edge corrosion resistance after blanking.
