    摘要: A rotational braiding machine (100) has a plurality of first braiding material carriers (200a), a plurality of second braiding material carriers (200b), a movement unit, a drive and a controller. The movement unit is arranged and designed in order to move relocating elements (300) associated with the first braiding material carriers (200a) in each case between a first position and a second position. The drive is designed to drive the plurality of first braiding material carriers (200a) such that they rotate about the common braiding center in a first rotation direction and to drive the plurality of second braiding material carriers (200b) such that they rotate about the common braiding center in a second rotation direction which is different from the first rotation direction. The controller is additionally designed to control the movement unit such that the movement of at least one of the relocating elements (300) can be adjusted.

    摘要: A knitted component comprises plush loops created with an inlaid yarn. A first surface of the knitted component includes a first yarn formed with a first stitch sequence that includes a quantity of knit stitches and a quantity of missed stitches. The second surface includes a second yarn formed with a second stitch sequence that includes a quantity of tuck stitches and a quantity of missed stitches. A third yarn is inlaid between two needle beds knitting the first and second yarns, and while the third yarn is inlaid, tuck stitches of the second yarn created with the previous pass of the carriage are transferred from one needle bed to another. Loops formed by the third yarn are locked into place by the transferred tuck stitches. The knitted component may be incorporated into an article of footwear. A method of manufacturing the knitted component is also described herein.

    摘要: Nanofiber filter media ribbons are flexible elongate strips of polymeric material having a surface on which is formed an array of nanofibers. Ribbons are formable into woven or non-woven mats. The array of nanofibers can be configured to filter a predetermined contaminant from a fluid stream passing through the mats. Filter ribbons are formable by applying a moldable polymer to a first angular location of a rotating cylindrical roll having an array of nanoholes formed in a circumferential surface thereof so that the polymer covers the surface of the roll and infiltrates the nanoholes; cooling the polymer while rotating the polymer-covered roll to a second angular position; and removing the cooled polymer from the roll as an elongate film having an array of nanofibers formed on a surface thereof by the polymer that infiltrated the nanoholes.
