Abstract: A trenchless method of installing a new poured-in-place manhole liner provides structural rehabilitation to an existing buried manhole, and is extended above the existing manhole to a higher pre-determined elevation to match the finished grade of a raised levee design. The new liner can be formed in a single or double stage process, which substantially eliminates trenching and excavation of soil, so that new levee soil is not disturbed. The process is faster and less expensive than building a totally new manhole, and maintains the structural integrity of the levee.

Abstract: An anchored hole cover for a bore hole cored from a paved surface that includes a cover plate configured to cover the bore hole and support vehicular traffic. An anchoring mechanism is attached to the cover plate and extends down into the bore hole. The anchoring mechanism is configured to be actuated by a user torque input that is transmitted through a linkage system to cause an anchoring mechanism to selectively engage or disengage the wall of the bore hole. When the anchoring mechanism is engaged with the wall the anchoring mechanism is biased into contact with the hole, and is prevented from unintentional extraction. The anchored hole cover effectively provides a temporary cover for a bore hole in a road, parking lot, or other paved surfaces that supports vehicular traffic, that prevents extraction due to vibrations of passing traffic, thus preventing damage to cars and their occupants.

Abstract: A hatch assembly comprising a frame presenting a frame opening, a hatch for opening and closing the frame opening, a plurality of pivot assemblies. The pins are oriented so that longitudinal axes of the pins in each pair of pins converge enabling the hatch to remain coupled to the frame when the hatch is pivoted between the closed position and an open position.

Abstract: An underground storage vault having a hatch affixed to a hatchway. The underfloor storage vault may be incorporated into a larger structure such that the surface of the vault's hatch may be flush with the surrounding floor, allowing for the hatch to be easily concealed. Once the concealment has been removed, fasteners can be undone so that the hatch can be removed from inhibiting access to the hatchway. Valuables and possessions can be stored in the vaults storage compartment and safely secured by re-affixing the hatch to the vault's hatchway.

Abstract: An insulating disc can be easily installed and removed from inside a riser of a septic tank. The insulating disc is seated atop an opening of the tank lid and seals around the riser inner surface. The disc can include a core formed of R-10 extruded polystyrene sandwiched between two layers of high-density polyethylene. A flexible gasket can extend outward from the disc to seal against the inner surface of the riser. Retention tabs can also be provided to center and hold the disc in place. The disc can be divided into two semicircular halves that are hinged together. A hook, eyebolt and/or rope can be used to aid in removing the disc from the riser.

Abstract: Disclosed is a cover for a utility vault and a method for making such covers. The cover is formed from fiberglass reinforcement layers, a low-density core, and a polymer mix matrix. The reinforcement layers include a bottom reinforcement layer, one or more edge reinforcement layers, and a top reinforcement layer. A first portion of the edge reinforcement layer overlaps a portion of the bottom reinforcement layer and a second portion of the edge reinforcement layer overlaps a portion of the top reinforcement layer. The core is positioned between the top and bottom reinforcement layers. The reinforcement layers are formed from fiberglass fabric and may include fiberglass layers whose fibers are oriented quadraxially. The polymer mix impregnates the fabric layers, encases the core, and binds the components together. The polymer matrix includes a thermoset polymer resin.
