摘要: A device used to conceal at least a portion of a wastewater strainer associated with a bathtub. More specifically, a plate having an opening therethrough is used to overlap a flange of the wastewater strainer wherein the opening in the plate generally coincides with an opening in the wastewater strainer so that the bathtub drain is unobstructed. The plate may include a downwardly extending lip to help facilitate orientation onto the flange of the wastewater strainer. The plate conceals the wastewater strainer, thereby facilitating reconfiguration of a bathtub as the existing wastewater strainer need not be removed and the plumbing system retested.

摘要: An excreta sample capture device includes a primary influent pipe that receives influent from a toilet(s) and includes an upstream end and a downstream end. The excreta sample capture device also includes a first valve positioned at the downstream end of the primary influent pipe, and a second valve positioned between the upstream end and the downstream end of the primary influent pipe. In some cases, an excreta sample capture device further includes spray jet positioned above the second valve and a sample extraction vessel located downstream from the second valve. A method of using an excreta sample capture device includes receiving influent in the primary influent pipe, initiating a closing of the first valve, opening the second valve, and capturing a sample of the excreta.

摘要: The present invention relates to a filter device for separating debris from a fluid. The filter device includes a housing having at least one inlet, at least one first outlet, and a second outlet. The filter device further includes a filter cartridge that allows fluid to pass therethrough but prevents passage of debris therethrough. The filter cartridge is positioned within the housing so as to define an upper chamber and a lower chamber within the housing. The at least one inlet is positioned so as to allow contaminated fluid to enter the lower chamber of the housing. Fluid must pass through the filter cartridge in an upward direction to reach the upper chamber, and the first outlet is positioned so as to allow filtered fluid to exit the upper chamber. The second outlet is positioned to allow debris accumulated within the lower chamber to be discharged.

摘要: An article, a container, and a method for disposing of fat, oil, and/or grease (FOG). The article may include a top portion including a top opening and a perimeter rim, and a body portion connected to and below the top portion having, a continuous FOG-impermeable membrane and upper and lower body portions. The body portion may include a body middle surface dividing upper and lower body portions and may be placed on at least a portion of a surface. The lower body portion may be sized to fit within a drain. The container may include an integrally formed continuous outer shell including a partially hollow interior, a top part having a top opening, and liquid impermeable bottom and upper parts, and a middle part dividing the top and bottom parts and including at least one middle edge for placement on a first surface.

摘要: A removable trap for lavatory sinks is provided to enable new technologies to be incorporated into just the water trap portion of the sink trap to maximize the performance of the trap in infection control, while at the same time preserving the trap performance features demanded by major building codes. While a traditional P-trap requires the removal of the entire trap for cleaning or replacement, the removable trap presented in this application allows for easy removal of just the U-bend portion of the trap by releasing latch clamps. The U-bend containing the water is the most vulnerable to attack to cleaning chemicals as well as the most effective locus of innovation in materials and methods employed to reduce infectious bacteria forming biofilms within the lavatory trap.

摘要: A tiered magnet modular collar designed to catch metallic objects inside a garbage disposal. The tiered magnet modular collar includes a plurality of tiered magnets, each tiered magnet having a first elongated member offset from a second elongated member. The first elongated member is atop a second elongated member via a connecting bar. The first elongated member has a first distal end opposite a first proximal end with a first interior surface opposite a first exterior surface. The second elongated member has a second distal end opposite a second proximal end with a second interior surface opposite a second exterior surface. The first elongated member and second elongated member have an arcuate shape such that the tiered magnets affix to one another in an annular manner. In this way, a user is able to affix the tiered magnet modular collar around a garbage disposal to catch metallic objects inserted therein.

摘要: A flood prevention apparatus for a sanitary ware product such as a bath or the like. The flood prevention apparatus comprises a multi chamber drain and an overflow apparatus. The multi chamber drain comprises a body defining at least a first and a second chamber therein. Openings into the body define a first outlet port and a second outlet port. Each of the first and second outlet ports are vertically and horizontally displaced relative to each other. The first outlet port is in fluid communication with the first chamber and the second outlet port is in fluid communication with the second chamber. The first and second outlet ports are each connectable to associated first and second pipe sections of the overflow apparatus. The overflow apparatus comprises a first pipe section configured to attach to the first outlet port and a second pipe section configured to attach to the second outlet port. The first and second pipe sections provide substantially vertical pipe sections. The first and second pipe sections are joined in continuous fluid communication by an inverted U-shaped passage, which includes a normally open air valve at its summit. The air valve is operable to control flow of water through the apparatus in a non-siphonic state.
