Abstract: The tape incudes a water vapor-permeable air and water barrier article and a pressure sensitive adhesive layer. The air and water barrier article includes a fibrous layer having first and second major surfaces and a polymeric layer on a first major surface of the fibrous layer that penetrates into the fibrous layer but leaves at least some fibers exposed on the second major surface. The pressure sensitive adhesive layer is on the polymeric layer of the air and water barrier article. The tape can retain greater than 50 percent by weight of mortar applied according to the Vertical Mortar Receptivity Evaluation. The article includes a substrate, the tape, and a composite layer comprising at least one of gypsum, lime, or cement. The composite layer is at least one of dried or cured on the second major surface of the fibrous layer. Methods of making the article are also described.

Abstract: A cam lock for side-by-side tongue-and-groove interlocking panels can be arranged to work easily and effectively by using a keyed cam lock that provides proper orientation and a stop when the lock is engaged. A cam lock for side-by-side tongue-and-groove interlocking panels can be arranged to be inserted on the tongue side and act against a mid-portion of the opposed panel. An insert bracket can cover with one end at least a part of an end of a panel at a corner connection between panels and with the other end it can fit into a slot in the panel to immobilize the panel in two directions, while a fastener-receiving portion of the bracket can have a V-shaped portion whose side walls can guide the fastener to pass through the bracket at a bottom of the V-shaped portion. This concept applies for wall to wall connection, wall to ceiling connection and wall to floor connection.

Abstract: A water drainage system may include a clip having a support arm, a catch arm, and a brace. The support arm may include a support arm contact surface that may be opposingly positioned to the brace. A rail may have an upper plate, a back plate, and a lower plate. The lower plate may include a plate lip that extends toward the upper plate, and a channel may be formed in the rail that extends between the upper plate, back plate, lower plate, and plate lip. The upper plate may include an upper plate contact surface that is disposed within the channel. An optional waterproof membrane may be coupled to the clip and rail by engaging the clip to the rail with a portion of the waterproof membrane tensioned between the support arm contact surface and the upper plate contact surface.

Abstract: Adhesive compositions are described that are suitable for securing building materials, such as TPO membrane roofing to a structural element, such as a roof deck. The adhesive compositions are very high-solids, wet-set adhesives that provide a peel strength that meets or exceeds industry standards, while requiring application to only one of two surfaces to be joined. The adhesive compositions comprise a liquid modifier with hydroxyl functionality, a chlorinated polyolefin and a silylated polymer. Methods of use are also disclosed.

The microporous membrane may be used in building applications, including as or as part of a building wrap, a rain screen, a roofing underlayment, a flashing, a sound proofing material, or an insulation material. The microporous membrane may include at least one thermoplastic polymer, at least one filler, and at least one processing oil. The microporous membrane may be flat or may have ribs. The microporous membrane may include at least one scrim component. A method for forming the microporous membrane is also disclosed.
