The gap sealing structure has an elongate body which may fit in the gap between adjacent solar panels. In operation, the gap sealing structure may be useful to, among other applications, prevent excess water leakage through a solar panel array positioned over parking areas, seating areas, walkways, and the like.

摘要: A fastener plate for use in coupling an underlayment to a roof surface is disclosed. In use, the fastener plate is arranged and configured to enable subsequently applied liquid coatings to flow through a top surface of the fastener plate and into one or more cavities so that the liquid coating seals any openings created by introduction of the fastener. In one embodiment, the fastener plate may include a top surface, a bottom surface, a fastener opening for receiving a fastener, a plurality of openings formed in the top surface, and one or more cavities positioned between the top surface and the bottom surface, the one or more cavities being in fluid communication with the plurality of openings so that the liquid coating can flow through the plurality of openings formed in the top surface and into the one or more cavities to seal any voids created by the fastener.

摘要: A venting device of a structure is provided that includes first and second panel sections. The first panel section includes a top panel portion and a base panel portion located opposite the top panel portion. The second panel section includes a top panel portion and a base panel portion located opposite the top panel portion. A bottom surface of the base panel portion of the first panel section faces a top surface of the top panel portion of the second panel section. 摘要: This invention, in embodiments, relates to a roofing system comprising (a) a roofing substrate having a roofing surface, (b) a first roofing tile overlying the roofing surface, the first roofing tile having a front surface, a back surface, a top edge, and a bottom edge, and (c) a second roofing tile overlying the first roofing tile, the second roofing tile having a front surface, a back surface, a top edge, and a bottom edge. At least one sealant line is applied to (i) the back surface of the second roofing tile in an area that overlays the first roofing tile, (ii) the front surface of the first roofing tile in an area in which the second roofing tile overlays the first roofing tile, or (iii) both (i) and (ii). The at least one sealant line is configured to adhere the second roofing tile to the first roofing tile.

摘要: An exemplary shingle includes at least one coated shingle sheet defining a headlap portion and a tab portion each having opposed upper and lower surfaces. A first line of adhesive is adhered to one of the upper surface of the headlap portion and the lower surface of the tab portion, and includes a first thermally activated adhesive material. A second line of adhesive is adhered to one of the upper surface of the headlap portion and the lower surface of the tab portion, and includes a second thermally activated adhesive material having a minimum activation temperature less than a minimum activation temperature of the first thermally activated adhesive material.

摘要: The present concept is a method of roofing a bare roof deck. Asphalt shingles and metal flashings are applied to a wood deck of a roof before flashings and asphalt capping are applied. Metal panels are applied overtop of existing asphalt roof, thereby creating a metal overlay configured such that substantially all of the asphalt shingles are covered with a metal panel for preventing further degradation of asphalt components by shielding from sunlight, UV rays, excessive moisture, snow, wind, ice and fire. No further flashings are installed thereby the metal panel overlay creates a semi-watertight seal wherein the metal panel overlay together with asphalt roof is adapted to create a watertight seal. The present concept is also a method for roofing an existing asphalt shingled roof where metal panels are applied overtop the existing asphalt shingled roof. This creates a metal overlay that covers substantially all of the asphalt shingles for preventing further degradation of asphalt components, and provides a method of preserving an asphalt shingled roof.
