摘要: The present disclosure generally relates to the utilization of a fine mineral matter in the process of upgrading the liquid products obtained by thermolysis or pyrolysis of solid plastic waste or biomass or from cracking, coking or visbreaking of petroleum feedstocks. More particularly, the present disclosure is directed to a process of stabilization of the free-radical intermediates formed during thermal or catalytic cracking of hydrocarbon feedstocks including plastic waste and on a process of catalytic in-situ heavy oil upgrading. The fine mineral matter may be derived from natural sources or from synthetic sources.

摘要: The present invention relates to a method and system for recovering and processing a hydrocarbon mixture from a subterranean formation. The method comprises: (i) mobilizing said hydrocarbon mixture; (ii) recovering said mobilized hydrocarbon mixture; (iii) coking said recovered hydrocarbon mixture to produce decoked hydrocarbon and coke; (iv) combusting said coke to generate steam and/or energy and CO2; (v) upgrading said decoked hydrocarbon by hydrogen addition to produce upgraded hydrocarbon; and (v) adding a diluent to the decoked hydrocarbon prior to upgrading and/or adding a diluent to the upgraded hydrocarbon; wherein said method is at least partially self-sufficient in terms of steam and/or energy and diluent.

摘要: A carbon dioxide to hydrocarbon conversion device and method are disclosed. A partially produced hydrocarbon subterranean reservoir comprising residual hydrocarbons is provided. A carbon dioxide source is provided, positioned on a surface proximate to the reservoir. A surface mounted high-pressure fluid injector system connecting the carbon dioxide source and the reservoir is provided. A backflow preventer is disposed in-line between the injector system and the reservoir. The injector system injects a catalyst-free feed stream, comprising carbon dioxide, into the reservoir up to an operating pressure. The backflow preventer maintains the operating pressure in the reservoir and sequesters the feed stream in the reservoir. The sequestered carbon dioxide reacts with water and at least a portion of the residual hydrocarbons over a time period to produce additional hydrocarbons. The water is present in the reservoir, provided by the feed stream, or both. The additional hydrocarbons are recovered after the time period.

摘要: A plurality of heaters are disposed end to end within a bore hole of a formation where the bore hole extends from an upper end to a lower end such that a lower heater of the plurality of heaters is proximal to the lower end of the bore hole while every other of the plurality of heaters is distal from the lower end of the bore hole. Each of the plurality of heaters includes a fuel cell stack assembly having a plurality of fuel cells which convert chemical energy from a fuel into heat and electricity through a chemical reaction with an oxidizing agent. Each of the plurality of heaters has a thermal output that is less than or equal to a predetermined value except the lower heater of the plurality of heaters which has a thermal output that is greater than the predetermined value.
