Abstract: Methods and systems for a telescopic stick and a data gathering verification system is disclosed. The method includes receiving a schedule for an equipment structure, obtaining parameter data and an ultrasonic transducer (UT) measurement from a telescopic stick, wherein the telescopic stick is configured to generate the UT measurement representing a condition of the equipment structure at an out-of-reach condition monitoring location (CML), and determining a verification assessment, wherein the verification assessment comprises a health report for the equipment structure based on a service acceptable range criterion. The method further includes inputting the UT measurement and parameter data into an artificial intelligence model, producing a degradation prediction from the model, and updating the schedule based on the verification assessment, the degradation prediction, and a service accepted range criterion, wherein the schedule is displayed by a handheld device configured to communicate with the data gathering and verification system.

Abstract: A core barrel head assembly having a longitudinal axis can comprise an elongate tube body having an outer surface, an interior cavity, a proximal end, and a distal end. The elongate tube body can define a helical groove that extends from the interior cavity to the outer surface of the elongate tube body. The helical groove can be configured to allow the elongate tube body to elastically extend and compress. The elongate tube body can define at least one aperture that extends between the interior cavity and the outer surface. The core barrel head assembly can further comprise a valve body that is attached to the elongate tube body and is movable with respect to the proximal end of the elongate tube along the longitudinal axis, as the elongate tube body compresses. When sufficiently compressed, the valve body restricts flow through the at least one aperture.

Abstract: A survey tool includes a gyroscope and an accelerometer. The gyroscope can include a multi-axis gyroscope, a reciprocating gyroscope, or a combination thereof. The survey tool is independently rotatable relative to an outer housing and collects gyroscopic measurements and accelerometer measurements during drilling activities. Using the gyroscopic measurements and the accelerometer measurements, the survey tool calculates earth rate components of the rotation of the earth. Using the earth rate components, the survey tool determines the azimuth of the downhole tool.

The downhole sensor apparatus may include a threaded element configured to thread into complementary threads in the recess in the tool. The downhole sensor apparatus may be configured to operate in an idle condition. The downhole sensor apparatus may compare readings from at least two sensors to threshold downhole conditions and begin normal operation when the readings from the at least two sensors meet or exceed the threshold downhole conditions.

Abstract: An untethered downhole tool includes a first body, a second body, a logging sensor, a motor, and a controller. Each of the first and second bodies includes a housing that defines an inner volume and a magnetic anchor configured, in an active state, to attach the body to a wellbore tubular. The motor is attached to one of the first or second bodies and coupled to a spooler. The controller is communicably coupled to the motor and the first and second magnetic anchors. The controller is configured to adjust one of the first or second magnetic anchors from the active state to an inactive state; and activate the motor to operate the spooler to spool the cable from the spooler to increase a length of a portion of the cable between the spooler and the detached first or second body.
