摘要: A gas (or steam) turbine is disclosed including: a rotor with at least one array of rotor blades, a stator with a casing and a shroud ring; the shroud ring extends around the array of blades rotor and the casing extends around the shroud ring. The shroud ring has radial size independent from temperature thanks to its material, and is movably coupled with the casing so to allow the casing of the stator to thermally expand and contract during operation of the turbine while maintaining the shroud ring radial size. Also the rotor thermally expands and contracts during operation of the turbine, and, at working temperature, tip regions of the rotor blades are in close proximity to an inner region of the shroud ring so that clearance is small or even zero at working condition.

An example airfoil includes an outer wall having a first rib spaced apart from a second rib on a surface of the outer wall, and an inner wall surrounded by the outer wall, the inner wall having a third rib protruding from the inner wall towards the surface of the outer wall, an end of the third rib detachably coupled to a portion of the surface of the outer wall, the portion of the surface positioned between the first rib and the second rib, the third rib and at least one of the first rib or the second rib to at least partially seal a flow passage between the inner and outer walls.

摘要: A damper element for a vibration dampening system may be used in a body opening in a rotating blade in a turbine. The damper element includes a base member having an axially fixed position within the body opening, and a spring-suspended bearing member having a spring fixedly coupled to the base member at a first end of the spring and a bearing member coupled to a second end of the spring. With the spring in an elastically extended state under influence of a centrifugal force caused by rotation of the rotating blade at higher than a predefined rotational speed, the bearing member frictionally engages a bearing surface to dampen vibration. The spring-suspended bearing member provides a friction-based vibration dampening interface that experiences a reduced impact of the centrifugal forces of the rotating blade by providing a counteracting force reduction using the spring.
