    摘要: An abnormality diagnosis system of an internal combustion engine that is installed on a vehicle and includes an actuator includes an electronic control unit. The electronic control unit receives vehicle outside information concerning a period of time for which the vehicle speed is less than a predetermined value, and determines whether the period for which the vehicle speed is less than the predetermined value is expected to be equal to or longer than a length of time required for an abnormality diagnosis of an abnormality diagnosis target device. The electronic control unit activates the actuator and starts the abnormality diagnosis as the vehicle speed becomes lower than the predetermined value, when it determines that the period for which the vehicle speed is lower than the predetermined value is expected to be equal to or longer than the time required for the abnormality diagnosis of the target device.

    摘要: A pneumatic engine system uses gas circulation to recycle exhausted air, so as to reduce gas consumption, save energy, protect the environment, operate for a longer duration, and slow down the attenuation of the power output thereof. The pneumatic engine system includes a pneumatic engine, a gas storage device, a transit gas storage tank, and a suction device. The pneumatic engine receives a compressed air to generate power output. The gas storage device stores the compressed gas and supplies the compressed gas to the pneumatic engine. The transit gas storage tank receives gas discharged from the pneumatic engine. The suction device extracts gas from the transit gas storage tank and transport the extracted gas to the gas storage device for recycle.

    摘要: An engine assembly includes an engine block having a first bank of cylinders and a second bank of cylinders. A crankshaft is supported by the engine block and is configured to be driven by torque due to combustion energy in the first and second banks of cylinders. A first set of valves is operable to control air flow into and out of the first bank of cylinders. Camshafts driven by the crankshaft are operatively connected to the first set of valves to control opening and closing of the first set of valves. A second set of valves is operable to control air flow into and out of the second bank of cylinders. A controller is operatively connected to the second set of valves and is configured to vary at least one of lift, duration, and timing of the second set of valves based on commanded torque at the crankshaft.
