摘要: An exhaust gas treatment apparatus includes a treatment cabinet and a catalyst part. To the treatment cabinet, introduced is exhaust gas of an engine which uses gas containing methane as a fuel. The catalyst part is accommodated in the treatment cabinet and oxidizes unburned methane contained in the exhaust gas. When a temperature of the catalyst part is lower than a predetermined normal operating temperature, the catalyst part oxidizes carbon monoxide contained in the exhaust gas and uses oxidation reaction heat of carbon monoxide, to thereby raise the temperature of the catalyst part up to the normal operating temperature or higher. Even when the temperature of the exhaust gas supplied to the catalyst part is lower than the normal operating temperature, it is thereby possible to quickly raise the temperature of the catalyst part up to the normal operating temperature por higher.

摘要: A controller for a hydrogen engine controls a hydrogen engine including a selective catalytic reduction (SCR) device installed in an exhaust passage and a urea addition valve that adds urea to exhaust gas flowing through a portion of the exhaust passage upstream of the SCR device. Processing circuitry of the controller executes a reduction process that causes a urea addition amount of the urea addition valve to be smaller when a urea deposition amount of the SCR device is greater than or equal to a prescribed value than when the urea deposition amount is less than the prescribed value. The processing circuitry executes a lean-burn limiting process that sets an air-fuel ratio of an air-fuel mixture to be burned in the hydrogen engine to a value less than or equal to a prescribed lean-burn limiting value while the reduction process is reducing the urea addition amount.

摘要: The present invention provides a catalytic article for the removal of nitrogen oxides and ammonia from exhaust gas of lean combustion engines which heats up quickly to its operation temperature and shows a better performance. Another aim of the present invention is to provide a system for the purification of exhaust gases emitted from lean combustion engines comprising said catalytic article. The catalytic article comprises a corrugated glass fiber substrate, a first washcoat, comprising at least one platinum group metal and/or at least one platinum group metal oxide, supported on a refractory metal oxide support, and optionally at least one binder, wherein said first washcoat is affixed to the glass fibers of the nonwoven corrugated glass fiber substrate, such that areas consisting of particles of the first washcoat alternate with void spaces, and a second washcoat, comprising an SCR catalytically active composition and optionally at least one binder, wherein said second washcoat is affixed to the glass fibers of the nonwoven corrugated glass fiber substrate, and wherein said second washcoat covers the areas consisting of particles of the first washcoat and the void spaces. The SCR catalytically active composition preferably comprises molecular sieves.

The combination of elements are configured to heat and disrupt the flow of exhaust gases and aid in removing and/or reducing toxic gases and pollutants from the exhaust system.

摘要: A system includes a controller having at least one processor coupled to a memory storing instructions that, when executed by the at least one processor, causes the controller to: receive data indicative of operating conditions of at least one of an engine or of an aftertreatment system; determine, during a first period of time, that an amount of NOx output from the aftertreatment system satisfies a low NOx operating mode condition based on the data indicative of operating conditions; determine, during a second period of time, that operating conditions for a conversion efficiency are present based on the data indicative of the operating conditions of the aftertreatment system; determine that the amount of NOx output from the aftertreatment system satisfies a high NOx operating mode condition; and selectively set an alert based on a retrieved minimum value and a retrieved maximum value of the amount of NOx outputs.
