摘要: A method, controller, and internal combustion engine including the controller and operable in accordance with the method by: determining a temperature of a working liquid in an engine block circuit (31, 35) of the internal combustion engine (10), the working liquid comprising a cooling liquid or a lubrication liquid; operating the internal combustion engine (10); engaging a thermal load responsive to the temperature of the liquid being below a first temperature threshold, wherein engaging the thermal load comprises at least one of increasing a pumping load of the internal combustion engine (10), or changing an air/fuel ratio, thereby adding heat to the engine block circuit (31, 35); controlling the thermal load as a function of the temperature of the liquid; and disengaging at least a portion of the thermal load responsive to the temperature of the liquid being above the low temperature limit.

摘要: A controller for controlling operation of an aftertreatment system that is configured to treat constituents of an exhaust gas produced by an engine, the aftertreatment system including a selective catalytic reduction (SCR) catalyst, the controller configured to: generate a short-term cumulative degradation estimate of the SCR catalyst corresponding to reversible degradation of the SCR catalyst due to sulfur and/or hydrocarbons based on a SCR catalyst temperature parameter; generate a long-term cumulative degradation estimate of the SCR catalyst corresponding to thermal aging of the SCR catalyst based on the SCR catalyst temperature parameter; generate a combined degradation estimate of the SCR catalyst based on the short-term cumulative degradation estimate and the long-term cumulative degradation estimate; and adjust an amount of reductant and/or an amount of hydrocarbons inserted into the aftertreatment system based on the combined degradation estimate of the SCR catalyst.

摘要: An apparatus for reducing emissions that has a combustion turbine that feeds exhaust into a heat recovery steam generator (or HRSG) casing in which is positioned an emission reduction system featuring, in gas flow sequence, a first reducing reductant injector (RRI1), as in an ammonia injection grid, for providing reducing reductant, preferably ammonia, into turbine exhaust travelling within the HRSG, followed by a first SCR reactor positioned downstream of the first RRI1, followed by one of either (i) a turbulence generator (TG) as in a static mixer, or (ii) a second RRI2 as in a second ammonia injection grid, or (iii) an RRI2 with integrated TG supported on injectors of RRI2, then followed by a second SCR reactor. The emission reduction system preferably is free of a separate body oxidation catalyst or a separate body ammonia slip catalyst in an effort to utilize a limited volume within the HRSG. Methods of assembling and operating the ERS or T-H combination with ERS are also featured.

The method includes providing data representing engine operational conditions for the internal combustion engine during the intended drive cycle, wherein the data comprises values for at least engine speed and engine torque distributed over a time period representing the intended drive cycle; determining values and time variation for at least one exhaust parameter during the time period of the intended drive cycle when the engine system is operated according to the engine operational condition data; providing a reference relation between values and time variation for the at least one exhaust parameter and an expected urea crystal build-up in the engine system when operating the engine system at different engine operational conditions, predicting urea crystal build-up in the engine system when operating according to the intended drive cycle by comparing the determined values and time variation for the at least one exhaust parameter with the reference relation.

In one example, a method may include determining and updating a gain value of the NH3 sensor during zero NOx conditions to be used to calculate a corrected NH3 sensor output value, and determining and updating an offset value of the NH3 sensor during zero NH3 conditions to be used to zero the NH3 sensor during zero NOx conditions.

摘要: An aftertreatment system for a work vehicle includes: a fluid injector configured to inject a treatment fluid; a selective catalytic reducer (SCR) substrate; and a mixer fluidly coupled to the fluid injector and the SCR substrate and including at least one scroll defining a scroll open area and configured to receive a flow of exhaust gas and the treatment fluid. The mixer has a fixed wall and a plate displaceably coupled to the fixed wall, the plate being associated with the at least one scroll such that a change in a flow rate of exhaust gas into the at least one scroll passively causes displacement of the plate to adjust a size of the scroll open area.

摘要: The present disclosure relates to a method for determining urea feeding in an exhaust gas aftertreatment system (100,200), the exhaust gas aftertreatment system (100,200) being connectable to an internal combustion engine (101,201) operating under an engine operating condition, the system (100,200) comprising a first Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR1) system comprising a first selective reduction catalyst (SCR1c) and a first doser (103,203) configured for feeding urea upstream the SCR1 system, at least one Particulate Filter (PF) downstream the SCR1 system or as a substrate for the SCR1c and a second Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR2) system downstream the PF, the SCR2 system comprising a second selective reduction catalyst (SCR2c) and a second doser (104,204) configured for feeding urea upstream the SCR2c, the method comprising the steps of estimating the amount of particles in the PF; and determining the amount of urea to be fed by the respective first and second doser (4,5) based on the engine operating condition and such that: a) the amount of particles in the PF is within a predefined particle amount range, and, b) the NOx level of the exhaust gas exiting the SCR2 system is within a predetermined NOx level range. The present disclosure also relates to an exhaust gas aftertreatment system (100,200) and a vehicle comprising the exhaust gas aftertreatment system (100,200), a computer program comprising program code means for performing the steps of the method, a computer readable medium carrying a computer program comprising program code means for performing the steps of the method and a control unit for controlling urea feeding in the exhaust gas aftertreatment system (100,200).
