Abstract: Conveyance vehicles such as snow bikes and snowmobiles having an endless track system driven by a combustion engine are enhanced in performance with a torque assist system. The torque assist system includes an electric motor that is coupled to drive the track in parallel with the original internal combustion engine through either its own track drive, or through the drive system of the engine. The motor can be a spindle drive motor or hub motor. Torque assist is generated through a torque assist throttle input coupled to a motor controller. A battery temperature assist system diverts heated cooling fluid from the engine cooling system to heat the battery through its own heat exchanger. The controller is coupled to a processing device such as a smart phone that executes apps configured to provide parametric data to the controller and to receive parametric data from the controller through a user interface.

Abstract: A valve assembly includes an assembly housing and fluid valves disposed in the assembly housing. Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for diagnosing a stuck Active Transmission Warmup (ATWU) valve. In one example, a method for an ATWU valve monitoring routine of a vehicle comprises determining a temperature difference between an engine coolant temperature (ECT) and a transmission fluid temperature (TFT) over a duration before the ATWU valve is commanded from a closed position to an open position or from the open position to the closed position comparing a rate of change of the TFT before and after the ATWU valve is commanded to the open position or the closed position; and indicating a stuck ATWU valve based on at least one of the temperature difference, the TFT rate of change comparison, or a combination thereof, based on a calibration parameter.

Abstract: A device that includes a thermostatic element, with a piston and a body movable along an axis with respect to one another under the effect of the expansion of a thermodilatable material, and a stopper moved axially by the body with respect to a fixed seat so as to open and close a fluid circulation passage. The stopper includes a flexible seal which rests sealingly against the fixed seat in order to close the passage, and a rigid frame which fixedly supports the seal. The frame includes a central portion, mounted around the body to be driven by the body, and a peripheral part, folded towards the axis, partially crushing the seal. The seal is held in place on the frame by being pushed, radially to the axis, directly against the body of the thermostatic element under the effect of crushing the seal by the peripheral portion of the frame.

Abstract: A marine propulsion system for a marine vessel includes an engine effectuating rotation of an output shaft, multiple batteries configured to power a marine vessel load, and an alternator having a rotor that is driven into rotation by the output shaft and that outputs a charge current to the batteries. The marine propulsion system further includes a control system configured to operate the engine in a propulsion mode and a generator mode. Upon receiving a generator mode command to start the engine in the generator mode, the control system operates the engine in accordance with a set of generator parameters to charge the batteries while a shift system of the marine propulsion system is locked in a neutral position such that the propulsor cannot be engaged and the marine vessel remains stationary.
