摘要: Providing additional mass air flow to an engine of a vehicle to expand an operating range of cylinder deactivation (CDA) is provided. Aspects of the present disclosure describe a method and system to provide additional mass air flow to an engine using an auxiliary air source coupled to a turbocharger. When a low air-to-fuel ratio state is determined in association with operating the vehicle in CDA mode, the auxiliary air source is activated to assist the turbocharger with increase the supply of supercharged intake air to the engine. Accordingly, the operating range of CDA is expanded.

The first damage value is calculated based on the small section average value and the small section amplitude. The second damage value is calculated based on the middle section average value and the middle section amplitude. An estimated value of the deterioration degree of the compressor impeller is calculated based on the integrated value of the first damage value and the second damage value.

摘要: A controller for an aftertreatment system coupled to an engine is configured to: in response to receiving an engine shutdown signal, determine an estimated amount of ammonia stored on a selective catalytic reduction (SCR) catalyst included in the aftertreatment system; in response to determining that the estimated amount of ammonia stored in the SCR catalyst is less than an ammonia storage threshold, cause flow of a heated gas towards the SCR catalyst; cause insertion of a reductant into an exhaust gas flowing through the aftertreatment system; and in response to determining that the estimated amount of ammonia stored in the SCR catalyst is equal to or greater than the ammonia storage threshold, cause shutdown of the engine.

摘要: An apparatus, a system, and a method are disclosed for enhancing a sound of an engine having a turbocharger. The apparatus is used with a vehicle having a turbocharger that includes a recirculation hose that is disconnected from the system. A short section of hose is assembled to a blow-off valve and a sound modification apparatus that includes a horn end and an attachment portion. The attachment portion is connected to an outlet end of the short section of hose. The horn end has a conical end through which a first tone is emitted when vented gases pass inside the horn and a plurality of arcuate opening through which a second tone is emitted.

摘要: An engine system of the present disclosure includes an engine configured to drive a plurality of pistons by burning a mixture of air and gas, an air supply pipe through which the air supplied to the engine flows, a supercharger configured to compress the air flowing through the air supply pipe, a gas supply pipe through which the gas supplied to the engine flows, and a mixer configured to mix the air that has passed through the supercharger and the gas. The mixer has a venturi tube shape in which a cross-sectional area of a flow path decreases and expands in a flow direction of the air that has passed through the supercharger, and the gas supply pipe is connected to a portion of the mixer where the cross-sectional area of the flow path in the mixer is decreased.
