The control device includes a calculation unit calculating a stopping rate which is a percentage an automatic stop in a predetermined period, and a charge controller. The charge controller performs charging relative to an electrical storage device from a power generator when a charging rate is lower than a predetermined charging rate. The charge controller also controls the power generator such that the charging rate to the electrical storage device is increased with an automatic restart.

    摘要: A fuel injection device for an internal combustion engine includes: a high/low pressure fuel system configured to inject fuel into cylinders 12a to 12d through an in-cylinder injector 44; and a low pressure fuel injection system configured to inject fuel into an intake manifold 14 through an intake path injector 46. An ECU 60 incorporates: an idling stop/start unit 68 that stops the engine when an idling stop condition is satisfied, and restarts the engine when the idling stop condition is no longer satisfied; and a fuel injection control unit 70 that causes, after the idling stop condition is no longer satisfied, fuel remaining in the first fuel injection unit to be injected into the cylinder, before rotation of a crank shaft 32 starts, so that the engine 10 is automatically restarted, and causes fuel injection to be started from the second fuel injection unit when predetermined condition is satisfied.

    摘要: A stop/start vehicle includes an engine and a stop/start system that selectively prevents an auto stop or auto start of the engine in response to a detected vehicle proximity and direction of travel relative to an emergency vehicle. The stop/start system may be programmed to prevent an auto stop of the engine in response to a detected proximity to an emergency vehicle where the emergency vehicle is traveling in the same direction as the stop/start vehicle, or in response to a detected proximity to an emergency vehicle where the stop/start vehicle is located within an intersection. The stop start system may also be programmed to prevent an auto start of the engine in response to the engine being stopped, and further in response to a detected proximity to an emergency vehicle where the emergency vehicle is traveling in cross traffic relative to the stop/start vehicle.

    摘要: Provided are: an engine-mounted controller capable of being suitably used in a vehicle that carries out an idle-stop operation while the vehicle is moving; and a vehicle. An engine-mounted controller of a vehicle determines whether or not an engine is in a completely stopped state when an idle-stop operation is canceled. If the controller determines that the engine is in a completely stopped state, a first control operation for suppressing the transmission of engine vibrations associated with engine idling is executed on the assumption that the engine is in a completely stopped state, and if the controller determines that the engine is not in a completely stopped state, the first control operation is prohibited when the engine restarts.

An engine control unit makes an engine stop determination based on the coolant temperatures detected by the first water-temperature sensor and the second water-temperature sensor and, in making the engine stop determination, selectively uses the coolant temperatures detected by the first water-temperature sensor and the second water-temperature sensor in dependence on whether a heater unit including the heater core is in an operation state or in an out-of-operation state.

    摘要: An object of the present invention is to avoid an air-fuel ratio difference between cylinders upon recovery from a cylinder deactivation in a situation where some of a plurality of cylinders of an internal combustion engine capable of using a plurality of types of fuels having different properties are to be deactivated upon the halt of fuel injection from an injector.To accomplish the object, a control device to which the present invention is applied includes a fuel property sensor that is installed in a fuel line between a fuel tank and a delivery pipe, and detects a fuel property change from a change in a signal of the fuel property sensor. Upon detection of a fuel property change, the control device prohibits the deactivation of a cylinder before the completion of a fuel property change in the delivery pipe.

    摘要: A fuel control system that has a fuel control device to control the flow of fuel to a carburetor of an internal combustion engine. The fuel control device includes a control member that is movable between a first position and a second position to control the flow of fuel into a carburetor. When a kill switch within the fuel control system is closed, induced current from a primary ignition coil within the internal combustion engine is fed through an electromagnetic coil, causing the fuel flow control device to interrupt the supply of fuel to the carburetor. Thus, when an operator desires to stop the internal combustion engine, the kill switch closes and the fuel control device interrupts the supply of fuel to the carburetor to prevent backfires.
