摘要: A lubricated high pressure fuel pump assembly is provided, comprising a fuel pump, a sealed enclosure and a pump lubrication circuit. The fuel pump includes a pump drive shaft via which the fuel pump is configured to be mechanically driven. The sealed enclosure is configured to surround a first portion of the pump drive shaft, wherein the first portion is exterior to the fuel pump. The pump lubrication circuit comprises a lubricant reservoir and a lubricant pump configured to pump lubricant from the lubricant reservoir to the pump drive shaft. The sealed enclosure is configured to prevent fluid leakage from the fuel pump via the first portion of the pump drive shaft and the lubricant reservoir is configured to collect the lubricant from the pump drive shaft, such that the lubricant is retained within the lubricated high pressure fuel pump assembly.

摘要: Disclosed is a method for determining a static flow rate of a piezo-electric injector of an injection system. The piezo-electric injector includes a needle and a piezo-electric actuator designed to control a valve of the injector. The injection system includes an electric generator designed to send electric current pulses to the piezo-electric actuator of the injector, and a voltage sensor designed to measure voltage values at the terminals of the piezo-electric actuator. The method includes the following steps: sending during a phase of closure of the needle of an electric current pulse such that the piezo-electric actuator is positioned in contact with the valve, without giving rise to the opening thereof; measurement of a plurality of voltage values of the piezo-electric actuator; and determining a static flow rate of the piezo-electric injector on the basis of a plurality of voltage values measured of the piezo-electric actuator.

摘要: A shuttle valve for a control valve coupled to an electronic fuel injector is disclosed. The shuttle valve may include a shuttle valve first end including an armature attachment portion operably coupled to an armature of the control valve and a shuttle valve second end opposite the shuttle valve first end defining a sealing portion of the control valve including an annular sealing surface. A valve guide portion may extend axially along a portion of the shuttle valve between the first and second ends. Furthermore, an engagement surface portion may be defined along the valve guide portion that is slidably engaged with a valve bore. Moreover, the shuttle valve may include a non-engagement surface portion defined along the valve guide portion, wherein the non-engagement surface is a non-continuous surface around a circumference of the valve guide portion and wherein the non-engagement surface is interspersed between portions of the engagement surface.

摘要: A throttle body assembly for a combustion engine includes a throttle body having a pressure chamber including a supply of liquid fuel, and a throttle bore with an inlet through which air is received. A throttle valve is carried by the throttle body with a valve head movable relative to the throttle bore. A metering valve is coupled to the throttle body, and has a valve element that is movable between open and closed positions. A boost venturi is located in the throttle bore and has an inner passage that is open at both ends to the throttle bore. The boost venturi has an opening through which fuel flows into the inner passage when the valve element is in the open position, wherein fuel flows from the pressure chamber to the metering valve under the force of gravity or under a pressure of less than 6 psi.

摘要: Disclosed is a method and a device for predicting the failure time of the pressure limiting valve of a high-pressure fuel pump of a motor vehicle. The method includes measuring a characteristic parameter of the pressure limiting valve each time the motor vehicle has been switched off, determining and storing a variable determined by using the measured characteristic parameter, determining the time profile of the variable determined from the characteristic parameter, predicting the future profile of the variable determined from the characteristic parameter, and comparing the predicted future profile of the variable determined from the characteristic parameter with a predetermined wear limiting value. The comparison is to predict the time at which the predicted future profile of the variable determined from the characteristic parameter reaches the predetermined wear limiting value.

摘要: A first member has a plated layer. A second member is pressed against the plated layer and causes a tensile stress in the first member. A breakage probability is a probability of breakage of the plated layer caused by the tensile stress. A characteristic line represents a relationship between an elastic modulus of the plated layer and the breakage probability. A characteristic slope of the characteristic line is a ratio of an increase in the breakage probability to a decrease in the elastic modulus. A characteristic change point appears on the characteristic line at which the elastic slope increases to exceed a predetermined slope as the elastic modulus gradually decreases. A characteristic change elastic modulus is the elastic modulus at the characteristic change point. The plated layer contains at least a chromium component and has the elastic modulus larger than the characteristic change elastic modulus.
