摘要： An ignition coil for an internal combustion engine includes a primary bobbin including a winding cylinder part and a connection part between the winding cylinder part and a connector part, a primary coil including a primary main coil and a primary sub coil, and a secondary coil. When one of the primary main coil and the primary sub coil that includes an innermost coil part around the winding cylinder part is defined as a firstly-wound coil and the other is defined as a secondly-wound coil, firstly-wound ends, which are ends of the firstly-wound coil, and secondly-wound ends, which are ends of the secondly-wound coil, are attached to the connection part, and a shortest distance from a central axis of the winding cylinder part to each of the firstly-wound ends is smaller than a shortest distance from the central axis of the winding cylinder part to each of the secondly-wound ends.

摘要： An ignition device includes a coil unit and an igniter. The coil unit includes a primary coil and a secondary coil. The primary coil includes a main primary coil and an auxiliary primary coil formed by winding a single primary conductor on a primary bobbin. The secondary coil is formed by winding a secondary conductor on a secondary bobbin. A DC voltage is applied to an intermediate section of the primary conductor between the main primary coil and the auxiliary primary coil. The igniter controls current flowing into the main primary coil or the auxiliary primary coil. The primary bobbin includes a bobbin body and a hooking part protruding from the bobbin body. The main primary coil and the auxiliary primary coil are wound on an outer peripheral surface of the bobbin body to the same direction. A part of the intermediate section is hooked on the hooking part.

The core extends through the ring portion and the leg portions extend in between an inner surface of the coil bobbin and an outer peripheral surface of the core toward the bottom wall, and the case is filled with the filling resin in a manner that at least a part of the ring portion is not covered by the resin.

摘要： The present invention relates to a spark plug extension body connecting an ignition coil with a spark plug for a spark ignited internal combustion engine, as well as a method for providing such a spark plug extension body for reduction of partial electrical discharges in the spark plug extension body. In conventional spark plug extensions are coil springs used as electrical conductor against the spark plug terminal and/or ignition coil terminal. These coil springs cause Corona effects and short circuiting requiring replacement of the spark plug extension. With the invention the entire electrical conductor (CRu, 64, CRL) is in a rod like form and at least both ends (CRu, CRL) of the electrical conductor (CRu, 64, CRL) are made as a monolith in a flexible and electrically conducting polymeric material, preferably electrically conducting rubber.

In one example, a method may include multiplexing spark signals to a first spark plug, a second spark plug, a third spark plug, and a fourth spark plug, the first spark plug coupled to a pre-chamber of a first cylinder, the second spark plug coupled to a pre-chamber of a second cylinder, the third spark plug coupled to a main chamber of the first cylinder, and the fourth spark plug coupled to the main chamber of the second cylinder. In this way, one ignition coil may be used to actuate two different spark plugs coupled to separate cylinders.

摘要： An ignition coil for internal combustion engines is provided which includes a primary coil, a secondary coil, a case, a high-voltage terminal, a resistor, and a filled resin. The case has a case body and a high-voltage terminal extending downward from the case body. The high-voltage terminal is press-fit in the high-voltage tower to close the inside thereof. The resistor is fit in the high-voltage terminal. The high-voltage terminal includes a pressed wall and a non-pressed wall. The pressed wall is pressed against the high-voltage tower. The non-pressed wall is not pressed against the high-voltage tower. The resistor is fit in the non-pressed wall. This structure minimizes pressure exerted on the resistor and the high-voltage tower to secure a desired degree of durability of the resistor and the high-voltage tower.

The plurality of continuous grooves are filled with the filling resin for filling in the case.
