摘要: An aperture unit having an optical axis is provided, which includes a fixed portion having a first surface and an opening, a guiding element movably connected to the fixed portion and accommodated in the first accommodating space, a first blade movably connected to the guiding element and the fixed portion, and a driving assembly used for driving the guiding element to move for moving the first blade. A first accommodating space having a recessed structure is formed on the first surface. The opening is formed in the first accommodating space and has a recessed structure. The driving assembly is at least partially disposed in the opening.

摘要: An engine system includes three communicating fluid vessels that each contain a fluid. A first interconnecting fluid conduit containing the fluid rotatably couples the second fluid vessel to the first fluid vessel and acts as a lever. A second interconnecting fluid conduit containing the fluid rotatably couples the third fluid vessel to the first fluid vessel and acts as another lever. By increasing the fluid column heights in the communicating fluid vessels, torque is applied to the levers to cause the second and third fluid vessels to revolve around the first fluid vessel.

摘要: A geothermal process for generating electricity includes: heating a primary fluid by absorbing thermal energy from a geothermal energy source to elevate thermal energy and kinetic energy of the primary fluid; increasing a pressure on the primary fluid to raise a boiling point and a temperature of the primary fluid and decrease latent heat of the primary fluid; driving a mechanical device via one of: the kinetic energy of the primary fluid; and a kinetic energy of a secondary working fluid that absorbs the thermal energy of the primary fluid in a heat exchanger; and driving an electricity generator by the mechanical device to generate electricity. The pressure on the primary fluid may be increased by restricting, a flow path of the primary fluid to create a backpressure, by increasing a density of the primary fluid, or by increasing a pumping pressure of the primary fluid into the geothermal well.

摘要: The present embodiments relate to a shape memory alloy (SMA) actuator with a reduced number of materials for manufacturing the actuator. In some instances, elements of the SMA actuator can comprise a dielectric material disposed on the actuator via an injection molding process. In other instances, the SMA actuator can dispose SMA wires above a base of the SMA actuator without the use of any dielectric material. In a first example, an SMA actuator can include a carriage and a base. The base can include a fixed end fixed to the carriage, a free end, a beam connecting the fixed end and the free end, and at least one SMA wire. The SMA actuator can also include an insulator comprising a dielectric material electrically isolating a set of electrical contacts at the fixed end.

摘要: An energy storage and delivery system includes one or more cableways and a cage that travels along each of the one or more cableways. The cage is coupled (e.g., fixedly coupled) to one or more cables that extend between a lower elevation and a higher elevation, the cables or steel ribbons being translated along the associated cableway by a traction motor wheel to translate the cage along the associated cableway. The system is operable to pick-up, transport and deliver with the cage a plurality of blocks from the lower elevation to the higher elevation to store energy (e.g., via the potential energy of the block). The system is also operable to pick-up, transport and deliver with the cage a plurality of blocks from the higher elevation to the lower elevation at least partially under force of gravity to generate electricity via an electric generator coupled to the traction motor wheel.

摘要: Embodiments of systems and methods for generating power in the vicinity of a drilling rig are disclosed. During a drilling operation, heat generated by drilling fluid flowing from a borehole, exhaust from an engine, and/or fluid from an engine's water (or other fluid) jacket, for example, may be utilized by corresponding heat exchangers to facilitate heat transfer to a working fluid. The heated working fluid may cause an ORC unit to generate electrical power.
